Never said that I paricipated in such an operation, don't have the ability. But to say that the purpose of hacking is simply a cheap way of leveling up, I think, misses what people who use hack and/or cheats are all about. If you think about it, I bet you can come up with several different reasons.

Hacked mags also DO block rare drops, yet another reason to ditch the mag in favor of a lvl 200 legit mag.
Ok I play on xbox, and i have a hacked mag, currently lvl 80 with not 1 red box dropped. I'm not new to pso but, I never heard of a hacked mag until today.
anywho, my question is: what do I do now? just bank the mag? dump it altogether, start a whole new char from lvl 1? What do I need to do to start finding rares? Keep in mind I'm no hacker. duper, legit, or any other label,(IMO) I just play the game, take that as you want.

i dont know if it has that like of effect on XboX couse im using gamecube but i think it can be dropped and besides what difficult?! if its hard yepp it is hard to find rares

Ok I banked the mag, ran ult. forest twice.. NOTHING! So I gave it to another char, ran thru V Hard ruins, nothing. So I went to Ult. Forest after I gave the mag to another char and nothing.
My question is do I need to dump the mag all together? Can i just move it off of this Gamertag? And after I dump it will I start finding rares?

I think any past presence of a hacked Mag will fry all rare chances. Don't quote me though.

I've heard that all you need to do is bank it, though my sources may be incorrect. However I do know that once it's gone your drop rates should return to normal. The same thing happens with stacking of items, are you stacking items? if so don't then try again with the mag in your bank.
It doesn't destroy the drop rate completley... it divides it by ten... say if you had a drop rate chance of 50% it would now be 5%

I have a hacked mag and it seems like it INCRISES my rare drops.
Usually on hard I would find 1 red box on a ruins run(by beating the whole ruins)
I go to Ruins and there I am finding ,3 rare items in ruins 1,2 rare items in ruins 2, then I quit durring ruins 3 so I only got one.
Add that up..

hacked mags only effect the pal verion of pso ep1+2 and pso+ as a guess I'ld say this person has the pal version of the game. Oh yeah it also only effects the drop rates of rare items that are over 9 stars in rarety.

yes if u own any hacked item u cant find a any rares so what ever which sucks
