All your stats comparisons are meaningless to me for one very large reason A.S. How many level 200s do you know? Very few. It is a fact that VERY few people legitly make it to level 200, so it really doesn't matter what their maximum stats are, the difference is made while you're raising them. Things can go very differently depending on how a character is raised.
So put your little stat charts away because there's usually a 1/10000 chance of someone actually getting anywhere close to the stat maxes.

The fact that you can get to level 200 (maximum ability) does make stat comparison oh-so important. Also the fact that every character can use a Mag and materials.

But like I said, very few people would reach level 200 so it basically depends on how they train their stats.
EDIT: And Ayrus I said FOmarl with an l not FOmar. My FOmar is level 1

Fomars are not great. i choose fonewm, pink says she has a high lvl fomar that is awesome....... most everything is awesome at a high lvl. personally i think S&D are useless unless your with other people.. forces arent rly meant to melee if you want to melee, be a hunter. you say your high level fomar pawnz the guys in ult ruins... now take a fonewm the same lvl and compare dmg..theres a difference. congratulations... fomars dont take as much dmg due to S&D. you dont need to take dmg as a force especially if you have spells that mutilate the enemies before they reach you. FFS thats why your spells work from far away...
Fomars melee is like Humars techniques... can be used.. somewhat effective in the early stages of the game, but ultimately useless in the end(aside from resta(always nifty

all depends on what u wanna do with them
if u make melee FOmar it would be different than a Long range magic user
and all that ><
sry if my info didnt help before just i think in my opinion FOmars end good and start good at any lvl if u can find them techs

for starters, everyone seems a bit too vehemently biased. there are enough soap boxes in here for us all to take baths.
i chose a fomar because i wanted a "challenge" just as the descrip says. i interpreted this to mean "if you figure this game out well, you'll like this guy. otherwise, you'll hate him."
when i want to go head on full melee, i pick up my hucaseal. as of now, my fomar's gone farther, which isn't to say much because i haven't had the game long, so maybe, just maybe i'm in for a huge surprise.
seems to me that with persistence you can make an awesome character from any class, including fomars. that, and i didn't fancy the idea of boring myself into a stupor by using techniques only because my melee was that crap. *shrug*
i'm having more fun because there's more challenge. if you want easy "PWNAeG!1", yeah, don't get a fomar.

Fomar is a fairly easy force to use just because of the HP, and the fact that you don't have to melee. He is no harder to raise then a Foney, it's just more pointless because at the end of the day you end up with meidiocre stats. In fact, my level 100 Fomar offline has had a far easier game then my foney, but at the end of the day the foney deals out so much more damage after you get to ultimate the fomar seems lacking in any skills.

FOmar=Can Melee and have 1.3 time the damage with GI techniques. Can use 250 materials because they're human.
FOnewm=Has the second higher MST of the game. Has 1.3 times the damage of GI and RA techniques. Can only use 150 materials bacuse they're Newmans.

Fomars can melee, but if you want to melee then play as a hunter!
Fonewm has the fomars bonus, and anotehr one besided (I thought it was only a Ra bonus but hey we;ll go with that) and has higher mst. Even with the extra mats, the fomar still doesnt make up the mst, therefore the fomar is a mix of skills that makes him okay early on but once you hit ultimate you're pretty much finished.
