this version has been said to be backwards compatible with all other version so thats pritty good.. now i wish i hadent gotten rid of my old games ^^
male and female pokemon will have different looks and stats and ofcause would help with the whole breeding of pokemon thing.

I'm a bit disappointed with the genders on second examination. The differences are so minor / non-existant that you can't even notice them with most pokemon.

To answer you.
No, the difference between them is sprites.
All sprites have noticibly different features. Female Scizors have bigger abdomens for examples. Those these are often difficult to spot. You'll have to study to see significant changes
Also, I'll murder your team. Wi-Fi battling is for Metagame players only. If you don't breed or train for the Metagame, I wouldn't even suggest using the Wi-Fi battle feature. As any serious contender will cream you. Even using UU teams (Under Used) you'll still get hammered. It's serious competition and thus should be avoided unless you actually plan to play seriously.

Mr. Faulkie sir, you misinterpret what I was saying.
Pokemon is actually more fun when played as the Metagame. Figuring out different movesets. What you can do, different strategies. It's how the game was meant to be played.
Once you discover it. You love it, and anything less is meh.
It's fun and addictive and strategical, like chess.

Pokémon got ever so complicated after the introduction of breeding and those IV/EV/nature things! It became possible to make your own incredibly strong Pokémon, but it also became really... time consuming and frustrating! Some could argue it's part of the fun. :dead: I guess I'll never become a Pokémon master with this kind of attitude, heh. Still. It's replayability. Has to be good.
