Believe in long-distance relationships? - Shiva - 15-11-2006 This is one of most other posts on I should say my opinion and experience, but I can't because of my english :| :'( I'll try to do my best (sorry for the mistakes). I knew my first boyfriend on the net, chatting on DreamArena (Dreamcast Community, who didn't remeber it? ^^). In our case, the distance between me and he were about 400-500 km (more or less). In 1 year of relation, I only saw him in 2 times: the first tame he came to my home, and the 2nd time was me who went to visit him. In both cases, we spend 1 week together. I felt very bad after saw him, because I didn't want to sepparate of his side. But the relation with that guy finished, and now I'm with another boy, since 2 years, 10 months, 11 days and some minutes xD We're separate too, but only for 1:30 traveling on train. I saw him every weekend (from friday to monday, I don't have classes this 2 days) and thus and everything I feel bad when it's time to turn back home and "normal life": work, school.... I hope to finish sutdying in June, work hard, gain money and rent a house with him. To finish, I wanna add one last thing: if the love is real, it support all the dificulties and distances. Good luck for all the lovers ;-) PS: Please correct me when I do mistakes on my scrips
Believe in long-distance relationships? - Cloud Stryder - 15-11-2006 your true heart shines through your words, i think its very nice of you to say, gives others like me hope ^^ Believe in long-distance relationships? - Teh EkwEE - 15-11-2006 Yeah, I guess the advantage to me dating Lindsey is that I travel the circuit as a requirment, and so does she. So we'll see each other at least once a month, if not more. And circumstances pending, at the Mississippi tournament I could stay down there a few days or go down early. I guess that's why I'm so much better than you guys. Believe in long-distance relationships? - Mirinee - 15-11-2006 Thanks for the input, Shiva. Your English is fine--I understood your post perfectly well. Two years and ten months of only weekends right from the start! I admire that. You're right. What's a few years if you can be together eventually? A long-distance relationship will only hurt if you let it get to you, so don't. ![]() My boyfriend graduates next year and then he's joining the army, and I won't graduate until I'm 22 or 23, so I have no idea where it's going, but at least I have it better than... Elly!! "He"'s a machine?!?! XD But she didn't care 'cos she's just that cool. He loved her back too. See, it was true love! Ah, I want to play Seat of the Heart quest right now! I love the Calus FOmars! Share, Elly! XD ... ... ... *Awkward*. Ahh, you only have seven months more to wait. Best of luck to you two! I hope you have your big ceremony that you mentioned in another thread when you graduate!
Believe in long-distance relationships? - Faulkie - 15-11-2006 I admire people who can go without seeing the one they love for extended periods of time. I would find that so hard.

Weekends are only on "school periods" and when I have to work some weekends. In that case, he comes to my home. And I know that he's the man of my life. I can wait for that. Quote:I hope you have your big ceremony that you mentioned in another thread when you graduate! We haven't that type of ceremonies, I only saw it on US teen movies (and I still whitout knowing if US studients really do that partyes when they graduate ), but thanks anyway. I can't wait to finish!!!
Believe in long-distance relationships? - Teh EkwEE - 16-11-2006 Well I think it works better if you're not clingly. I'm not clingly and neither is she. We do our things then talk and go on dates when time is available. I can't say I love her, because I don't. I like her A LOT. Love is just not a word that I'm comfortable saying after a month just talking to her. And neither is she. Which is cool. The problem with relationships is that people start dating and they get on different wavelengths about where they are in a relationship. And that pushes the other person away. I'm talking about people falling in love at different rates. Some people fall madly in love on the first date, and others take quite a while to warm up to the idea. That's why it's more important to find someone you're compatible with in those aspects as well as what you have 'in common'. Believe in long-distance relationships? - Faulkie - 17-11-2006 Yeah I guess that's true. I still think that talking about where you are would help though. If the person who thinks things should be going faster really loves the other person, they will wait for them. |
