My parents disliked anime too
. They only ever seemed to notice the bad things about it. I just turn a blind eye. I like most anime style drawings. It's the reason I love PSO graphics. 
Anyway, here's a list of 192 popular anime supposedly arranged in order of popularity. Don't know how the votes work, but I do like the 10th one down, Gundam SEED, the best anime I've watched. It has the worst ever sequel!

its a lie i love the sequel *goes to cry in a corner*
wooo go watch saiyuki, its a remake of an old story (journey to the west) and its got action and heart behind it
anything with journey to the west is super pants in my books!

FMA would be up their...? >_< Not good? I watched 1 episode, and the art was passable. I used to think he was an alchemist working in a lab, but it appears they're magicians. Roy has that flame thing from his hand. XD Is the plot good?
Mr Stryder is the super pants drawer of anime and PSO/PSU super-deformeds! (I got a graphics tablet finally.
No more mousing, yey!). Don't cry. I finished watching the sequel just yesterday, and I loved the art-style and most of the music too. I even liked one new character: Rey (Laser Barrel). It was always good to see and hear the characters from the original series again (although about the plot... No comment! :'( ). Just don't watch Gundam SEED Destiny before Gundam SEED. 
OK... My problem is that I love the Gundam SEED anime.

full metal alchemist you cant just watch the first epi or you wont know whats going on, considering the series starts awhile into their adventure then takes you back to the begining by epi 3 or 4 i think. roy doesnt make flame from hand he has special glove that has the enchant circle. FMA is well worth a watch ^^

I think it would be wierd if there were stick figures in an anime, or in any show for that matter. It would be histarical though!

Saiyuki is also a play on words, as it can translate to 'Journey to the Extreme' as well.
