Why use Rabarta with its chance of freezing when you can use Freeze Traps and cause a guaranteed chill for anything within five metres? Best Hunter type? - Gynn Rei - 24-10-2004 The higher the lvl Rabarta the higher the freeze chance right? lvl 15 is nothing. Best Hunter type? - Heavy_Arsenal - 25-10-2004 15 can freeze, and freeze tarps are awesome cuz you get more after a certain amount of lvs and the healing rings recharge them, and you also have the confuse traps which rule in rooms with crap loads of enemies, in my opinion i think traps are more useful than techniques could ever be to a hunter (i kno people will argue but thats just what i think)

Of course this is semi-off-topic as this is the Hunter forum, so why would I deliberately avoid making an on-topic post? I'm not. All traps seem to have a similar blast radius, as confirmed by my CMode HUcaseal and my Rangers. Therefore, once you've managed to get a rough idea of how far your Hunter's traps can reach, you'll be in a prime position to make good use of what I like to call the Invisible Wall Effect (don't ask). Simply grab your fattest, heaviest, strongest greatsword or partisan and stand close enough to attract the enemy's attention. Lay down some traps and wait. Soon anything walking towards you when the traps go off will get hit and probably act like they've just walked into a wall, giving you enough time to disembowel at your leisure. Best Hunter type? - Khan - 25-10-2004 thats a valid argument arsenal. i see your point. |
