One way to try and prove if the beat theory is true, is try to get the exact time a rare monster appears or a rare drop occours. And the next day try the same thing, at the same time, same level and try to get to the same place again. One way to do is by doing the same quest. as if u didnt the land scape always changes which would blow this theory out the window lol. But if u do get the same drop at the same time, same place, same monster then perhaps u could be getting closer to solve this problem..... :alien:

Well, even if BTT has some say in it, there's also a degree of randomization involved. The creator of this thread (I think it was) brought up the idea of system time affecting "random" number choice... which does have some merit. You have to remember that there isn't a real system of "random" yet; everything we call "random" is really just pseudorandom because it's based on something. Thus, the beat you're in could have some limited say in whether you see a rare monster or item. But it is just a theory, of course... and since this basically deals with how the system gets a random number, it's almost impossible to totally prove or disprove (at least, I think it'd be near impossible... could be wrong).

Yeah, that is what I said, but what we're looking for is what it's based on. Y'know the equation involved in finding the "random" numbers. After that, we can look for the solutions that match with the rares. But, unfortunately, without the original source code, figuring out such things is practically impossible.
