Sony PSP VS Nintendo DS - Judgment - 05-08-2005 DS is gettin a addon for mp3's and junk later anywho. I was gona get a PSP on the day it comes out but now i dont think so. Im not paying over £100 for any handheld system. Heck i could get a console and a nice amount of games for that price -.- Valero its time to come back to reality. Stop makeing junk up XD Oh and im not a nintendo fanboy. I own all consoles and play them all. I dont give a rats ass about who makes the games as long as there fun. The only proof in your posts are that your a Sony junkie Sony PSP VS Nintendo DS - Valero - 05-08-2005 Sony junkie? Nah, I'm more of a Sega junkie, Sonic more specifically. And as for the mp3 addon, sure it will come out but unlike PSP, you will have to pay for it instead of it coming with it automatically. And as for most of the stuff I said, alot of it is actually true. Sonic Team will be making games mainly for Sony in the future. The only game I know of that will appear on Revolution, DS or any Nintendo system anytime soon is an Episode 1-4 remake on Revolution. PSP may be having an Episode 1-4 remake as well, the ps2 will be having the Phatnasy Star Universe, and ps3 will be the home of any next generation sonic games. This means PSO junkies need to wise up and choose: Stylus, or Phantasy Star? And the stylus HAS become a problem for game makers, especially for the games set to come out on both handheld systems. Pay attention to EGM, Play, or just about any other gaming magazine and you would know this. The game designers are getting to have a new experience by changing the games up, but the programming for the touch screen's functions, the images on it, AND the images on the top screen complicate game programming. And the DS has no analog
Sony PSP VS Nintendo DS - Lee-yoshi - 05-08-2005 You're a Sonic fan, yet you dig at Nintendo? :S I dont understand the logic in this, really :S:S SEGA are a lot closer to Nintendo then any other gaming company, and all of their games have sold better on Gamecube then PS2 or Xbox - Note that the only reason they're releasing PSU on PS2 is because with this game they're instead trying to renew the franchise on other systems mainly because the PS2 has a much bigger audience, so they can sell more. Also if the DS has been so hard to make games for, why have so many people signed up to make games for it? 200 games are guaranteed, and that was before the machine even came out, while now even more are signing up and bringing games out. Oh... and not getting Sonic Rush then?
Sony PSP VS Nintendo DS - Valero - 05-08-2005 probably not. I've decided not to waste money on Nintendo products anymore, because they never get anywhere. Gamecube was a complete flop with less than 10 good, non-kid games. And as if you hadn't read it earlier, Sonic Team, creators of Sonic and PSO, will be focusing their attention on Sony and/or Xbox because of the much larger audience. I'm sure they appreciate the nintendo junkies who love Sonic and PSO being so faithful, but faithfulness doesn't make money. Sonic Team understands that there is more money in the Xbox and Sony consoles than Nintendo, because Nintendo's president doesn't have a clue. What kind of retard says online isn't the next frontier of gaming when Xbox is making millions from it? Nintendo's about to go the way of Sega- 3rd party game makers, because they can't keep their audience. I loved the old Snes and 64 titles as much as the next guy, but with Gamecube, Nintendo put one foot in the grave. Sony PSP VS Nintendo DS - Lee-yoshi - 05-08-2005 Err... no, in my post i said that the multi-format games make more money on Gamecube then any other console, and i doubt the next gen will be different, because all the past hardcore SEGA fans now mainly buy Nintendo goods! Thats a fact, i mean why else would they have kept on releasing Sonic stuff on Gamecube even now? The DS is no different, and i expect past SEGA fans have got DS'. Sonic Team are working on a lot of games for DS - Sonic Rush and a Project Rub 2 at the moment. I dunno what games theyre making atm for PSP. Sony PSP VS Nintendo DS - Valero - 05-08-2005 Sounds like someone's in denial ^^. Gamecube only has more sales on game that are only on Gamecube, dude. Gamecube, a system that couldn't even sell out the last of its stock, doesn't have enough owners to outsell multiplatform games. Nintendo realized not long after the release of Gamecubes that it was a COMPLETE FLOP. They decreased the assembly of Gamecube because they weren't selling enough. It was costing them money. Gamecube flopped. Anyone who denies that fact is either ignorant or biast. I OWN a Gamecube. I was thinking it was gonna be the best system of all time, because until then Nintendo has nevered steered us wrong. But I received a wake-up call when I realized "You know, there are like 5 good games on this system... Everything else is for kids." Nintendo is either going become a 3rd parts company or form an alliance with the Fisher-Price toy company. Sony PSP VS Nintendo DS - Lee-yoshi - 05-08-2005 Lol! This is DS and PSP, not Gamecube dammit! -_- But Gamecube wasnt really that big a flop, Japanese figures will show you its a great system, depends on your taste in games i suppose, which dont work over here, which flopped the system ![]() Back to DS & PSP discussion... Sony PSP VS Nintendo DS - twinbanj - 05-08-2005 Thats opinion, not fact. I believe there are many good games on gamecube... even they do look childish (like windwaker) it doesnt mean there bad... there are tons of great games on gamecube, its just that you dont like many of them, or your unwilling to try them. Anyway, this is devolving into a PS2 vs GAMECUBE post... maybe we should stick on topic. Having Mario and Pokemon on DS doesnt make it worse, it makes it better. Have you played any of the Pokemon games? All the hand held ones are great! Dont be put of by the ctrading cards and tv show. And whats wrong with Mario? I dont really agree with games like mario football, and mario dance dance revoltuion, but games like Smash bros are pure gold, and many of Marios hand held games are great. It appears that the games mkae a cosole just as much as its features... and therefore only people who can accept that some games that look a bit kiddy can be still be ace will like DS... except for games like Metroid. Sony PSP VS Nintendo DS - mr_shoe_uk - 05-08-2005 Ok, you won't realise your silliness, so I will give some reasons now. I imported Play-Yan, so I already play movies and mp3s on my DS, and together with the memory card, it cost me around £50. Sure, this is extra money on top of the DS itself, but for the PSP you need to buy the memory card extra, and last time I checked a 512mb Sony memory card duo (which is used in the PSP) cost $120! There are many good games on the Gamecube. Some may appear 'kiddy', but only someone who is a kid trying to look mature, or someone foolish would actually be put off the quality of them like this. Please forgive me if I am wrong, but I am fairly sure you are under 18, and a 'kid' yourself. Taking Pikmin (and the sequel) as prime examples, some people would dismiss them as being childish, but anyone with some sense would see they are quite wonderful, unique games. Just to prove you further wrong, here are 10 'non-kiddy' good Gamecube games: Killer7, Resident Evil 4, Timesplitters: Future Perfect, Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2, F-Zero, Baten Kaitos, Soul Calibur 2, Metal Gear Solid, Phantasy Star Online. You say the stylus and two screens are bad because they make developers need to think of new ideas? How terrible, we might even continue to see many original games on the DS! DS games can still be great without making use of all the features though. I prefer to play Mario 64 DS (minigames aside) with the buttons, yet I still think it's a brilliant game. I don't really see why you keep having such silly false ideas about the DS and Gamecube. You're missing out on some truly excellent gaming on the Gamecube, and while less with the DS (as it has been out shorter) still missing out by being so narrow-minded. Reconsider your opinions on both consoles
Sony PSP VS Nintendo DS - K_I_R_E_E_K - 05-08-2005 i am not nintendo fan. basicly the games of nintento are... super mario golf super mario tenis super mario sunshine super mario on a banana .... .... .... you know what i mean psp is better sega was, is, will be the best of the best. |
