I just read the front page news.... I'm so happy I'm on the verge of tears... Super Smash Bros. as a launch title...ONLINE... PSO... DVD... I...

WOW!! This is gonna be SO great, SO much better than PS3 and Xbox 360! (the name's a lot more imaginative too Tongue), and I'm not just saying that because I'm a Nintendo fanboy, honest! Wink

Don't worry about the controls, I thought the N64 controller was perfect until GameCube came out! Big Grin

I kind of fear that Nintendo are fighting a losing battle. As much as I love Nintendo and would hate for them to stop making consoles or games, it seems that most people don't bother with Nintendo, dismissing it as babyish. In fact, it really annoys me when people have this attictude, with nothing to back it up...

Oh well, as long as Nintendo has fans like us, they will continue... they have to...

Nintendo Revolution - zero132132 - 18-05-2005

I love both Nintendo and PS2. I think that they are both going to be good and one is not going to be better than the others (much farther than they have in the past).

I think you are right though, Nintendo is going to the way Sega went. They just don't have the same sort of fanbase they once did. Sure, the fans that they have now are fanatics (Lee to name one) but they don't have a wide enough fan base to continue for much longer.

On topic: I think that if I don't get Revolution when it comes out, I am going to die. I CAN'T WAIT FOR SSB ONLINE! Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

dont saw thing like that about nintendo...nintemdo will be held up by its loyal fans....and this new system is going to have past games as well so it will be like my ultimate system...dont forget that nintendo still hold true and is the only system that knows the meaning of a quality game...my perdiction for the fure is that X-box will fall becuase sony has the hardware now and nintendo has the games....and x-box live is not so great with all the system going online now....bwa ha ha...long live nintendo!

Nintendo Revolution - Lee-yoshi - 18-05-2005

Lol, you're dam straight i'm a Ninty fanboy, although i have to admit the Xbox 360 doesnt look bad - the PS3 looks awful though, and if they keep the controllers the way they are seen now from E3, its going to ruin them and this will turn into a war of Xbox Vs. Nintendo, seriously. I took all the info into work today, EVERYONE took one look at the PS3 with its controller, and turned the page with disgust! XD

But yea, atm Nintendo are losing, but as i just posted in the other thread, Nintendo have said theyve learnt from their mistakes with the Nintendo Gamecube, and from looking at their plans, i think we've seen the proof. The Revolution has the making for a GREAT console from day one. Amazing launch games and features (Super Smash Brothers ONLINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SmileSmileSmileBig GrinBig GrinBig Grin), futuristic look, amazing online facilities with downloadable content consisting of the greatest games ever made, i just hope they dont mess it up by going over the top with an innovative controller. Many people have moaned at the Gamecube controller, and if they want an "All Access" console, just give it a PS2 pad and be done with it. Thats good enough for me and everyone else!

Nintendo Revolution - DARKMATTER - 18-05-2005

The idea I love is where you can DL all the old games onto the Revolution hehe. I cant wait, gonna get Perfect dark and starcraft as the major ones.

And backwards compatible ughughughguguhghug. gc games on it uhguhguhuhhu!

Nintendo Revolution - mr_shoe_uk - 18-05-2005

I think the Revolution looks great! Nintendo finally gave in and let us play DVDs (shame it's not an out of the box feature, but still a good idea). Backwards compatability with Gamecube is one fantastic idea, but best of all is the ability to download all the past Nintendo games!

I was wondering if they might release some cool DS add-on/cartridge to allow you to download games you downloaded onto DS via wireless link-up then play them on the go. Just a little thought.. but who can deny it's cool?! Any wireless link-up from DS to Revolution will probably be very interesting.

The only downside is that I'll need to get a wireless router Tongue

Nintendo Revolution - Lostthought144 - 19-05-2005

yes i think the acess to the previous games is going to be enough to get revolutions of the self...hell every old nintendo fan i know is coming out and are going to buy it...and another think I HOPE the do right is the pricing....a good price tag will kill the overpriced compitition...woot woot...lets keep the games to quality and not quanity..

And im soooo hurt no one has claimed me a a nintendo fanboy yet :depress:

Nintendo Revolution - Faulkie - 19-05-2005

If it makes you feel better, you're a Nintendo fanboy, like me and Lee-Yoshi! Big Grin

I think that with Nintendo, you either love it or hate it. You have the fans (like us) who absolutely LOVE it, but then you have the rest of humanity, who just go with PS2 because it has more games. I just hope the first group is big enough to keep Nintendo going.
