Photon Artist - nomercy - 25-11-2006 Just a quick query about Photon Arts. What's the top level you can obtain with them? I have the first Saber one to level 11 right now, and Twin Sabers is at level 5. Photon Artist - pink - 25-11-2006 I believe online the current cap is 20, while offline the cap is 30. Online it'll increase as time goes by. Photon Artist - nomercy - 25-11-2006 But offline it'll stay as 30. Hm.. are there any differences in it between platforms? My version is PS2. Photon Artist - pink - 25-11-2006 Nope. It's all the same between platforms. It takes a lot of work to get something to level 30 though, ESPECIALLY spells. Photon Artist - nomercy - 25-11-2006 I guess. But i'm near enough half-way already, and i'm hardly trying. I don't use them much, maybe once on every fifth enemy. I guess spells are only for FO character types, huh? Because so far Ethan doesn't have any. Photon Artist - pink - 25-11-2006 Ethan and Extra Mode characters can use wands up to the B level. You'll be able to buy them in Chapter 3 I believe is where they first become available at the GRM shop. Online only Force characters can use them though. Also... some Photon Arts are intensely useful and should be trained regularly. An example being Rising Crush. Use those Photon Arts, you won't regret it, because for the grand majority of them, every 10 levels it gets a new attack added to its combo! Rising Crush can hit a total of 8 times when it's at least at level 21. Photon Artist - nomercy - 25-11-2006 Rising Crush, that's the Twin Saber skill, right? Is there more than one skill for each weapon type? Photon Artist - pink - 25-11-2006 Offline there is, but for melee weapons you have to learn them from your NPC partners. This is done by S Ranking trials while they're in your party. There's a 10% chance of them forking over one of their photon arts. Each character has two photon arts they can give you, but watch out for Karen, one of the two photon arts she gives you is just the buyable twin dagger skill. The skills from your partners tend to be quite different from the one you can buy. For example, Hyuga's Gravity Strike (single saber skill) is infinitely better than Rising Strike. Why do I believe this? Simple... it hits more times and deals more damage. XD Photon Artist - nomercy - 25-11-2006 That's the one he uses, right? It looks awesome. S-ranking them though.. I S-ranked the first SEED fight when I was alone, in the Linear Line. Killed it in 33 seconds flat, but got nothing for it. I can usually hit A-rank with no problem at all. I'm trying to hit S-rank on the first Free Mission now. Can do it in 3:04. Photon Artist - pink - 25-11-2006 Yeah, once you're able to S Rank "Creature Discomfort" (kill all the enemies and beat it in 1:50 or less), just play that one over and over and over and over until your partner forks it over. |
