Can I use the modem in it to take GC games online? Like PSO?

and... uh... I'm sure there's gotta be one more?

I don't think you can do that. But, I'm not a very reliable source of information on these kinds of things....I don't do technology....I do games. Tongue *pokes himself*

That's a good question, well I would think you could because of the backwards compatablity. You just have to find out what type of modem the Wii has and of course the internet connection required. I haven't done this myself nor do I even know anyone with a Wii, this is clearly a guess and a pretty darn good guess if I do say so myself.Cool

i heard you need to buy a modem thingy for the wii for online GC games as they dont respond with the wiis onboard wifi modem.

master, that fingers dangerous ^^

out the box, the wii will not go online with GC games. I'm not sure about adapters, i doubt anyone would bother though. The market is so small for these things.

As far as I know, you need an adaptor of some sort.

Well that's thorougly rubbish. I don't see why they couldn't just make it work with the onboard one. >_> But that's the way of nintendo for you!

BUY THE PERIPHERALS!

SHIGSY COMMANDS IT!

It's the way of most companies. If you need to buy something else, it adds up to more money to line their pockets. So, obviously they want to get as much of your money as they can.

Aye, but nintendo have a hooooorrible history of doing it.

Crystal Chronicles, Pokémon Collesseum (sp?) and Zelda were the worst offenders.

I'd say N64 had it right for peripherals, charging you a little extra for them when you got the game, and not dependant on outside hardware for connectivity.

I was literally screaming at the TV when I got Zelda Four Swords adventures for the GBA, I couldn't understand why we couldn't play with the 4 normal controllers I had on one screen. Sure, maps and stuff on the GBA, but it's Zelda! You really don't get lost or use maps if there's four of you having fun. Having to pay £80+ for a GBA (at the time) was bad enough, without having to pay an extra £25 for a lead to connect it! At least the Wii has Wi-fi so I can connect my DS to it, but still, Nintendo really, really really try to milk the peripherals thing a little too much. There's only so much I'm willing to pay for a good game.

That whole thing with the GBA was a bit pointless. Yet I think it'll be the same with the DS personally. Since it has the same kind of techniques, and the new Crystal Chronicles game, it's pretty obvious multiplayer with that will require two or more DS consoles. So multiplayer with that will need you to play I think £95 for a DS.
