How would one go about using it to get online?
I've heard of fan servers for this game now that it's officially defunct online, and am looking to play online purely for a bit of nostalgia.
Sorry if this falls under "private server" discussion, but i figured as the game is no longer a source of income for sega, it'd be ok.

pso ver.2 or pso, are still online for a good time, this only pllies to sega servers, and there are others, but i can't say wich ones (sorry)
other games like star lancer or maximum pool are still online, possibly even forever.
i have a dreamcast and i am happy with that.

SEGA Dreamcast, and Nintendo Gamecube PSO servers end on April 1st 2007 at Midnight, with the Nintendo Gamecube's Hunters Licenses going free as of the 1st of March 2007! :'(
Xbox PSO will remain running.

Yes.
You would... and with how dead the X-Box servers are.... it wouldn't be worth it.It'd probably be easier just to get one of the two PC based versions of PSO... =>.>= But I'm not saying anything else. (I only have the PC versions to use PSO as a chat room.

PSO is not 360 playable, and the servers might be running, but they've been stuck on Christmas for over a year.
