The "Remove member" option - Shiva - 07-02-2007

This option don't like to me :$

Maybe is why I remember the BB and his "Sorry [Insert here a nickname], can you levae please? The spot is saved/I wanna play alone/etc, etc, etc".
But in PSU a party leader can remove you from his party without a word, and sometimes that makes me in a bad mood. I'm starting to hate the HIVE quest, because in 3 times I have been removed from a party after I entered.
I was playing with Nessa (level 27 right now), and I don't think that level 27 is a bad level for a HIVE B, and I always have 2 o 3 Scape Dolls on my inventory for if I die.

I can't understand why some people are so rudes and bad-mannered. When I'm the leader of a party and for any reason I need that somebody leaves, I always say it to the implicated persons, because I know that get kicked off a party is very rude.

What's your experience about this option? Have you been kickedd off a party? How do you feel that day? Tongue Do you often remove members from your partys ? Why?

(PD: One more time, sorry if I did mistakes on this post :$ )

(I could understand you just fine Shiva. =n.n=)

I have yet to actually be kicked from a party surprisingly. I blame it thoroughly on the fact that I'm a Wartecher. XD Everyone loves a healer. That, and I rarely play with people I don't know now.

I have had to boot people from the party before... but I gave them warnings beforehand since it's always been a behaviour problem. Kicking people without a word is completely rude and is just overall stupid. People have the right to know why you're booting them from the party. Not doing such makes you look like an ass... end of story.

Well, this option is a bit annoying at some times. I have only been removed from 2 parties, both upon entering a team with 2 people around my level, without the leaders even saying a word. This kicking without fair warning does get annoying; I think the insertion of this option is just though, because removing someone dangerous or someone who won't leave can actually help. I wouldn't remove someone unless they were those two options I just listed, or were constantly dying and refused to try and improve. I have had many parties where there were lower leveled people, who simply got in their 1 hit and ran off to the side. I'm ok with that, because at least they know they could ruin the mission for someone! I've never had to remove anyone before, and I hope I don't encounter too many situations when I do!

That's just what happened to me today. In the party were people with lower level than Nëssa. I don't understant :S

Sometimes I think that exists a stupid character with Nessa's same name (this is the only non-weird explanation xD The weird explanation is that exists a complot against me, and you all agree to kick me from the partys because you don't want that I level up XDDDDD).

Hm.... is no good to reply at this hours... I'm being delirous XDTongue

Well sometimes people will kick those who they consider too much higher than the rest of the party... simply because they want their EXP too. XD But once again, not giving fair warning is just stupid.

The "Remove member" option - Shiva - 08-02-2007

Well, in that party were people with higher and lower level than Nessa. I always search for equilibrate parties: if I enter in a party with high levels, maybe they'll kick me from the party thinking that I will die, and same with lower levels for the exp.

I agree the option can be useful, if you get someone say level 60 coming into a game full of level 7's, and just killing everything in one hit. I have also seen it used on people who always die at a boss and wont use scape dolls. Anyone can die once or twice but 6 runs in a row is just unfair on the rest of a team.

However, I have been kicked from a few games now, with no explanation and with me being in the range of levels. You just get in the team and before you even get a chance to say hello, your back in the lobby thinking what did I say or not as the case may be. If you don't want other people to join, surely you should just put a password on your game.

The worst was the last time I was kicked the other day, I was given some sort of warning in that I was asked if I was male or female, as I refused to answer the question I was kicked. Does it really matter what sex a player is??

I'm just glad it's only the missions you get kicked out of, and not the rest of the universe, having been told the other day to get out of the tenor works shops because it was the head quaters of a clan and I wasn't a member.

There are many really, really stupid reasons for people removing others from a party; sometimes, there might not even be a reason! I've never had to remove anyone from my team, I've found that I happen to team up with and attract nicer people to my team. I have had times when there have been people MUCH higher leveled than me join my team, but they ended up being very nice and just wanting to help! Some people just can't understand that though, and may just kick someone when they arrive on the team, even if they are, say, a high leveled force trying to help out lower-leveled players with their support techniques.

Dear gods. What, so you're expected to not buy Axes, Grenade Launchers or Crossbows?

Which Universe was this?

I'm glad you all sound like polite people. Every leader that ever kicked me without giving a reason has ended up on my blacklist. I figure if they haven't got the time to be courteous then they shouldn't expect me to give them the time of day if they want to play with me in the future.

I've played just over 900 hours on my character, it has only happened maybe 5 times in total.
