Ok because I've been at this rare spawn hunting for quite some time and I was wondering if anyone knew if there were conditions in order for things to work or is it completely random. Will a B and A rank mission have a better chance at bringing on the rare spawns or does it not matter? Does my luck have anything to do with it? Do specific planets yield a pleasant outcome? Do specific missions work out better? I've been at this for about a week but it seems like luck is not on my side.

I highly recommend using text that does not blend in with the background so well.

Every mission has a few variations on block order, and each of those has a rare-spawn map pattern. You can tell whether or not the rare enemies will spawn by checking the first room of B1 and matching up the enemy spawn to the A-X, B-X or C-X map set. If they match, continue to B2 and check the first spawn there, then continue to B3 if that's correct, and so on.

Photon Fortune (Your shiny luck) does not affect spawn chance, only affecting Grinding and item drops.
Furthermore, the Rank of a mission affects nothing except the level of the rare monster when it finally spawns.

I'm not 100% sure about the Photon Fortune thing not affecting rare spawns Namillus... cause I've yet to encounter a rare monster on a day when I had no luck, and on a day when I had level 3 luck, I encountered Rappies twice. XD But eh, natural luck is another factor... sooo... who knows. XD

Well I don't think that luck matters before I learned of the rare spawn chart there were day when I had absolutely no luck and would run into rappies twice. I guess it is just the frustration of not coming up with any results after playing for hours. At least make the item drop really hard and give me rare spawns more often.
