Hey everyone! Just got myself a Dreamcast and PSO after playing the cube version but only offline :'(
Hoping to set up my new snazy box to go online and may need a hand with setting it up if anyone can give some pointers? Also, whats the situiation with online servers now? I know the official servers are down and private ones have been set up, but are there many people still playing and will i be able to get new missions, items, etc stilll?

well, i play ver.2 for dreamcast.
about playing in a private server you have 2 choices, one is you to create your own server and send the ip or codes for anyone to enter, the program was made by stchack and it is not perfect, some hack protections make your game not to drop rares.......
then theres the stchack server , this server has many players, i recomend you play only with ver.1 or ver.2 players, you can play with the gamecube players but that has tons of bugs so i would not recoment.
there are 3 ways to connect to the server
-by codebreaker codes, wich mean you have to own a copy of codebreaker and input codes so you can connet to the server instead of the official
-if you do not have dial up, you could buy a broadband adaptor and input the ip to connect, the dreamcast will use your pc internet to connect
-then theres a final one that uses your pc internet without the broadband adaptor but i forgot the link to the guide, all i can say it is the hardest connection to make since you will need to search around in the windows reg editor and change some stuff and depends alot on the modem you have (discard this option)
everything on the server for ver.2 is the same, quests and stuff are okay, if you want to catch soul eater and stuff i recomend doing the quests in only 1 ship, multiple ship to do quests may cause you not getting the weapon.....
