Strategies for beating Hildelts and Hildetorrs? - Bmil - 01-08-2007
Well, im about to start the quest "Forest Of Sorrow" and was wondering if you guys have any tips for beating a hildelt/hildetorr, since there are going to be at least 1-2 delts and if i pipe enough a torr (i really hope its only 1 not 2 x.x or im dead) i saw a vid online where it almost took out a lvl 1xx with a single blow, and i have also heard that torrs shoot megid, so i stocked up on Resist Devils, and i also heard they jump alot. So, my current strategy for beating Hildelts has been this, and this applies to the room in F2 on the bottom right, the one that is right below the upper plat: Get Hildelt to come to me, run out of room b4 it hits me, watch it get stuck, cast Rabarta until it freezes, attack, repeat. Will that work for Hildetorrs or will they just turn around and cast Megid? im also bringing 4 or 5 scape dolls just incase

It doesnt cast Megid too often if I remember. If you have enough Resist/Devils you should be fine from a direct hit. Torr's act just like Hildelts just with Megid.

i have a video showing the apearence of a hildetorr, we walks fast and shoot megid, causing a kill.

HOLY CRAP the dude in vid 1 got murdered, megid is teh only thing that scares me, cuz it can go through doors ._. i use the strategy in vid 2 most of the time, get it stuck, beat it down until it can fight back, or hit it from long range constantly to prevent it from jumping, hit it good when it tries to use lightning (and with the torr megid) and im bringing a ton of scape dolls

with the delts take 4 resist/storms (+60) to increase your thunder resistence (eth or something) and if a torr drops (bring scapes all the time) run out of the room, then put on 4 resist devils (+60 edk) and you should be fine. just remember to bring those scape dolls.
my hunewearl lv133 took roughly 900 damage with a crit with lv20 deband (i had 948)

holy crap thats alot of dmg, at my current lvl of 94 i only have 631 hp, so if i get hit with a crit, even with deband i will die o.o

since deband increases the dfp in %, the more dfp you have the more it will raise.
as an advice try and kill him from distance, even if it takes several minutes.

Yeah even though I usually just run in and slice stuff up in close combat, if something's just too dam instant-deathy, I just pull out whatever ranged weapon I happen to have on me, and shoot like hell.

i like to get em stuck or freeze em, or just shoot the living hell out of em, that works to, im debating if i should use a mechgun or my red handgun
