Im probably getting a modem for cristmas(I wish it was a BBA) but I dont know exactly what I need. Can anyone Help me.

If its modem, you only need a phone cable and you ISP's information. You need a telephone number to dial, and your user name and password.

To use a BBA you need a broadband connection to your home (ADSL or cable). With a Modem adapter you can connect over your standard telephone line and use it with your existing 'dial up' isp account.
