Defeating Dark Falz on V.Hard? - Shoshi - 06-02-2008
Hello all, this is my first post here and I have a question for all of you experienced PSO players! Right now my highest level character is a level 60 FOmar and I am trying to beat Dark Falz on Very Hard Mode. Certain attacks of his kill me in one hit of course, but the one on his third form is the only thing that is preventing me from defeating him. The attack that always kills me is the one when he flies high into the sky and then shoots down a megid/grants attack at you. I cannot seem to dodge this attack! So I was wondering if you can dodge it or how much damage does this attack usually do on Very Hard Mode? With my equipment my character only has 317 HP. Any help would be appreciated!

Hello, FOmar.
For the last form, you can't dodge the Grants attack, so if you are getting killed by it, make sure you are using 4-slotted armour, especially the one which gives light resistance (I hope I remembered this right; the DFP defense is not important for Dark Falz because his "physicals" do a set damage) and put on as many Resist/Holy, or more likely, Resist/Saint from the shop as you can get. If you still can't survive with a full HP bar, then you need more levels.For attacking, unless you're a melee FOmar, use a mind MAG and Foie to kill him quickly with Club of Laconium. Good luck then.

you can do some things:
As Mirinee said a 4 slot armor with some light resistance is advised, replace the slots with units that can increase your light resistance and if you don't have them then put hp units, having more hp can be helpfull.
is your mag in lvl 200, if not then increase mind, the faster you kill the boss the less opurtunities he has to kill you.
If you are unsure if you can kill him, simply lvl up in vhard, the hp you get will be usefull to survive dark falz.
As a final note, carry scape dools, just in case he kills you.

DEF/Units will not help you when you fight Dark Falz, take note to have HP/Units ahead, fear the fixed damage.

Thanks for all the help guys. Yeah, I think I need to either find a 4 slot Armor or get more HP because even with two Saint/Resist units I still get killed in one hit by those "cannon/grants" attacks that Dark Falz performs. I also have a General/HP Unit but it doesn't help enough to survive.
Oh yeah, Mirinee... to answer your question my FOmar is a pure techcaster. He'd die in a melee battle even in the V.Hard forest! XD And キリーク, thanks for noting about the defense units... I had done some trial and error and did not see much of a difference but I will replace my Metal/Body unit with an HP or Light Resistance unit next time for sure!
Also, do Scape Dolls ever become purchasable at stores on higher difficulties?
