PSO Loading Screen - Garfu - 17-04-2008 I just started playing PSO (DC), and my girlfriend is a huge fan of the series. I was curious - does anyone out there have (or have the ability to make) a screen saver of the loading screens? I'd be so happy if anyone could do that for me. And so would she! Cheers, -Garfu PSO Loading Screen - K_I_R_E_E_K - 17-04-2008 i have one screensaver in my cellphone, i made it myself, but i used images and compiled them into a gif image (gif images are animated and have only 256 colors) i mean, i can take screens of it, but how would i made into a screensaver? would i record and turn the movie into a gif? PSO Loading Screen - Garfu - 17-04-2008 Well, the gifs are a start. I don't actually know how to make a screensaver with gifs, but I'm sure there's a way. Could you email me those? I'll send you a PM, cheers! PSO Loading Screen - K_I_R_E_E_K - 17-04-2008 let's give an example about the main loading screen of pso dc, it's a light in the center, what i did was to take some screenshots and then make them into a gif, nothing really good but still aceptable. since you want to act as a screensaver, the speed would need to be better, and more screens would need to be taken, recording a movie with fraps (i can do it) would enable me to catch a few seconds of loading. then the converting to gif would be made by a program, i supose there are tons of those around the web. about the green squares in the quests loading.......i have the texture of that thing, it is rather small, but i mean really smal, on the tv it is hard to notice, but the texture is bad. BUT, i can still record into a movie and do the same i would do to the main loading. recording is not a problem, making a screensaver out of it i only know the .gif way. i will try on the weekend some tests to see if the request is aceptable. keep talking, i don't mind receiving ideas. PSO Loading Screen - Garfu - 17-04-2008 That sounds great - how are you FRAPSing a dreamcast game? Haha. The screen _I_ want is the one with the moving green squares: she probably wants the spheres of light. If you have photoshop, it might have a gif maker. I'm godawful at making anything other than a JPEG, so I can't help there, haha. I'll poke around the net and see if I can find a 'screensaver maker' guide. EDIT:: This looks promising - http://www.freesaver.com/tools02.htm PSO Loading Screen - K_I_R_E_E_K - 17-04-2008 i have both null dc and chankas, they are dreamcast emulators that use either a image of the disk (null dc) or the disc itself (chankast), that way i can record using fraps PSO Loading Screen - Garfu - 17-04-2008 Ohh, those sound great (might pick up Chankast - I want to see PSO on my 22inch widescreen monitor ;D Did that link help any? I can't test the downloads, I'm at work. PSO Loading Screen - K_I_R_E_E_K - 17-04-2008 i saved to favorites, i will try and do a movie and a collection of screenshots (1 per second, or more if fraps alows it) then i will download a couple of programs to see what they can do..... thanks for the link. i still need to test some stuff on the emulator, to see wich graphic options i need to disable/enable to see the loading correctly. (don't worry, it shall be done) PSO Loading Screen - Garfu - 17-04-2008 Thanks again ![]() I'm not sure what FPS the DC runs at (probably 30), but we might be able to stagger it by just double each picture taken, or something. I just want a screensaver that looks like those loading screens, MAN that would be awesome... PSO Loading Screen - dudemanozzy - 18-04-2008 Yeah it'd be awesome having the GC quest loading screen, with the bands of light that change colour when you press A and all the data flowing past, or the ep 3 loading screen, it's a brilliant idea man, I can see a lot of people using it |
