My boss guides - Razorwood - 07-01-2004

I have some guides that I wrote for my old site i will post them here feel free to us them.

Sorry for making multiple posts but its a lost easier to read.

I only have guides for the first 3 bosses because people stopped visiting my site..... If you like the guides and use them I will be happy to write the rest for you

The dragon is the first boss you will encounter in PSO and it is pretty easy to beat if you follow these basic steps

When you first enter the dragon room run towards it legs and not it front of it the reason being it starts breathing fire nearly as soon as you enter and this can do massive damage to you.

Blade style weapon

Run up to its legs and start hitting them after a few powerful hits its head should drop to the floor go and hit it as it does the most damage (fast hitting weapons are best here like the twin brand, daggers, etc)

When the head lifts up the dragon is about to take to the sky if you run back to its legs and hit them you can sometimes stop this if not get running

When it its in the air it has to attacks

1. It will shoot fireballs it is really easy to aviod these just stand under the dragon and it will miss you make sure you move when it is coming down or it will land on you cause damage

2. It will dive underground and start moving about really fast to aviod this run around the outside of the aread unitl it comes up

When it lands go for the legs again until the head drops that attack that

Repeat until it is dead

Gun style weapon

Run towards the legs as above to aviod the fire then go for the head dont bother shooting the legs

When it is in the air follow the same tactics as above trying to shoot the dragon when it is in the air often proves to be a waste of time as you miss and you cant seem to target it most of the time

Force

If you are a force then ice spells and grants seem to work the best

Follow these steps and you will soon be in the caves

The second boss in De Rol and he is much tougher than the dragon for a start you are on a little raft so you dont have much room to run around.

The best type of weapons to use are ones that can hit multiple targets such as swords, glaives, etc for hunters and shots for rangers the spread needle is a really good weapon to use if you have one.

If you are a force then bombard it with fire spells as they do the most damage

De Rol has a lot of attacks so i will go into them and tell you as best i can how to avoid them

Purple blobs

The first attack he will use is a sort of purple blob projectile the thing is he fires about 25 all at once the best way to dodge these is to run back and forward near his head until there stop

Exploding spikes

Next he will launch about 7 little spikes on to the raft make sure you destroy these ASAP as they will explode if u dont, if you dont think you can get them all than get 2 corner ones and the middle one and hide in a corner that doesnt have a spike anymore (little lines start coming off them just before they explode)

Sometimes he will fire three of those spikes and they appear around your character, if you move so do they so you need to destroy them fast also he will fire the purple blobs straight after

Rocks

When De Rol flys across the room dropping rocks run right in the corner that is as far away from him as possible if you are in the corner enough then the rocks will miss you

Energy beam

When he stands up and fires the energy beam at you simply run from side to side

If you are using a sword then you can only really hit him when he lands on the raft the best place to stand if you are using a multiple hit weapon is his head looking down his body this way you can get several parts of him per hit making the fight much shorter

If you are using a gun you can hit him pretty much when ever you like it is still best to aim for the head as this does the most damage

If you are using a fire spell dont stop attacking as you will hit him everytime

This has to be the easiest boss i have ever seen in my life it can be killed in about 2 minutes.

Around the outside of the area there are monitors and when Vol Opt is moving in them simply shoot them with your spread needle or hit them with a multiple hitting "Sword". If you are a force use lightening spells

Then little Vol Opts come out of the floor hit the red one until it blows up

Once you have destroyed all the monitors or mini Vol Opts (or caused enough damage) it will blow up and then the second form appear

While in the first form the only attack is has it lightening and it doesn't do much damage and I don't know of a way to dodge it

The second form can be a bit tricky but its still easy

The first attack it will do is fire missiles run around to avoid them, then you will see a red beam lock on you hit Vol Opt until you see the big red flap go up when you see this start running because he is about to try and flatten you, (this attack will kill you if it hits you), after three pole like things have came down attack him again, he will then try to flatten you again so get running. All you have to do is run around him. Next he will heal him self so keep attacking, when you see a little energy ball coming towards you dint run away as it will catch you, run on the spot instead.

repeat until its dead

it shouldn't take long lol

Having your MAG evolve depends on a number of different factors. Normal MAGs will evolve based on level and alignment of stat boosters.

The three stat boosters used in all general MAG evolution are POW, DEX, and MIND.

Section IDs:
Your Section ID is located under your character type when you hit start. There are two groups of Section IDs who get the same MAGs per character type.

Section IDs / Type A:
VIRIDIA, SKYLY, PURPLENUM, REDRIA, YELLOWBOZE
Section IDs / Type B:
GREENILE, BLUEFULL, PINKAL, ORANE, WHITILL

MAG Evolution


For all the evolutions below to work, your defense must be below 44. There are three MAG evolutions experienced by Force characters that only happen after a DEF level of 45 and they are listed below. To our knowledge, they are the only exception.
