Tournaments - Duo - 05-03-2004 Well since we do have the tournament feature in episode three i was wondering if there would be any site sponsered tournaments? Of course i know that only the US and Japan has the game out besides the import but i was wondering if anyone was planning on starting up monthly tournaments Tournaments - Lee-yoshi - 05-03-2004 I doubt there would be any Ragol.co.uk Episode III Tournaments until the game is released in Europe, especially since this is a European website! But you can by all means have a tournament amoungst yourselves by organising it here on these forums, it just wouldn't be an official Ragol.co.uk Tournament unless it was monitored and organised by staff members. Tournaments - Proj3ct_Zer0 - 11-03-2004 Just like Lee said really, we'd have to wait until a European release date of PSO III before we could set anything up. Since most of the mods (think all actually) live in the UK, it would be impossible for the tournament to be organised. Unless you could ask decswxaqz since he has the JP version of the game .
Tournaments - Duo - 11-03-2004 Even then i'd assume everyone wants a little time to actually make a good deck then correct? Tournaments - Lee-yoshi - 11-03-2004 I would assume there was a way on Episode III for everything to be fair, not mattering on your current card collection. But i have a next to nothing idea of how the game works exactly. Alike some Battle rules on Episodes I & II, where everyone gets the same cards, or equivilent, so that even beginners can join in. But like you said, it wouldn't be for a little while after its Europen release so us Europeans can get to grips with how the game works!! Tournaments - decswxaqz - 12-03-2004 Yes. It can be unfair if someone is mean and downright evil enough to come from US or JP servers to battle you. If someone does come in and you don't think you can do anything. The best thing to do is just walk up to them and don't attack. Commit suicide. There is no point in wasting 30mins+ on a battle you can't win. So just kill yourself (by letting them do it). It's best to just play with EU people until you get a collection of cards. Tournaments - Duo - 12-03-2004 decswxaqz Wrote:Yes. Tell me about it.. I played in a tournament first day online for Ep 3. The final round we faced some JP players, within their first turn they placed a nano dragon and a hildetor. NOT fun. Not to mention they pretty much all have the GI level spells. The best i had was yasminkov 3000 and i was still getting used to the game then too. I struck back by getting to the semifinals of one of their tourneys, (16 P solo. I had to win two rounds which was NOT easy.) Tournaments - decswxaqz - 12-03-2004 A nano dragon seems quite fearsome but they are just like a yasminkov really. The only thing you have to look out for is the AP absorbtion. That should be your priority. The hildetorr... not got one yet. Probably got rampage attack though.... Gi spells are quite powerful if used right. But they can be weak if not. |
