Compatible UK ISPs - Terra - 12-03-2004

Hiya All

Not sure if there is already a topic for this (newbie alert)....

WHEN ON HL PURCHASE: with BT Openworld, and I keep getting transferred to an "Intelligent Landing PAge" which tries detecting my settings.....

I think therefore it may be incompatible....... but it worked fine with Ep1&2 and also I can get to the DNS server screen but no further!

I have a valid HL.

Anybody know if BT is compatible, if their not WHO IS!!! ??? Sad

Am on the modem adapter not BBA.

I take it you are talking about Ep3 and you want to use the same HL for both versions???

You don't need DNS servers for dial up I think. You might have gone into the wrong settings. Should be dial up not broadband???

AOL isn't because they use their own software to do things. BT should be fine.

Have put in my ISP details, and everything ok there, I try to connect to the "Purchase HL" site (now done on PC) and it says "You've been redirected to an INTELLIGENT LANDING PAGE due to problems with your connection" BT as far as am aware support PPP, and everything looks right...... is weird!

This must be an American thing.......
What do you mean on your PC? Are you connecting your GC to your PC? Or is that web page showing up on the GC??

EDIT: Doh. BT is English.... hmmmmmmmm. This is on Episode 1&2 or Episode 3 (JP or US)?

I think they mean ordering the HL over the pc (thats how I did mine)

Smile I bought my HL on my PC cus of my gamecube probs.... thinking I might just be able to go online that way...

The error message "Intelligent Landing Page" is generated by Yahoo, they have changed into BT Yahoo now.. and think this could be the problem as i just had to download software (argh).

Is for Ep3 Sad is a pain cus I really want to go online!

Then it's not a GC problem... I thought it was.

Ok then. You can see other sites on your PC ok, it's just http://www.playsega.com (EU right?) that you have problems with?

Cool, ta.... I may have fixed it now (fingers crossed) will try to connect later Smile
