That android's weapon... - Ria - 06-05-2004 In the first quest, the battle training. You get teamed up with an andoird with a lovely looking parstian type weapon. I've seen on guides, that if you don;t tell Sue your name you can get this weapon. Umm how? That android's weapon... - Ivan - 06-05-2004 Ok. I think you mean the Soul Eater, and the androids name is Kireek. I'm not exactly sure what quest you find Sue. If you could tell me the name of the quest where you see, Sue, I could probobly help you out. That android's weapon... - Ria - 06-05-2004 Ok I think it's Dr osto's notes in the Mine level. I'm quite sure it's that quest. That android's weapon... - Fygee - 06-05-2004 There's a mighty nifty FAQ on Gamefaqs that explains in detail how to get it. Its definetely worth it early on (the Dragon, De Rol Le, and Val Opt will turn into complete wussies when you're equipped with this thing in Normal and Hard), because the damage it does is far better than any other weapons you'll have access to until you start getting special weapon drops. It can only be grinded to +9 though (used to be +35 on the DC), so once you've gotten some other special weapon drops which can be grinded higher with higher starting stats, you won't really need to bother with it. You can get one per difficulty for up to 4 Soul Eaters. There's also a quest to get Akiko's Frying Pan after you've done all the quests for a specific difficulty. Good sabre type damage weapon that has a nice offense, raises MST by 20 or so, a Geist quality TP stealing attack, and can be used by any class. Pretty nifty for forces for the MST bonus and the occasional need to do a little melee. Can't be grinded at all though. :\ That android's weapon... - Hrith - 06-05-2004 Basically: Dr. Osto's Research : do not tell Sue your name (this is the only way to screw it) Unsealed Door : Talk to Sue amid Mine 2, and then go back to Bernie at the beginning of Mine 2 and tell him what Sue told you. Waterfall Tears : Defeat Kireek, he is hiding at the end of Cave 2, after you beat the HUnewearl (Anna). Black Paper : Defeat Kireek, he is in Cave 1. From the Depths : after beating the quest, go back to Ruins 2, defeat Kireek. Notes : -Dr. Osto's research and Unsealed Door both begin with Mine 2, not 1. -if you cannot find Kireek, use the Area Map option, he appears as a green triangle on it (or yellow or blue). -when you beat Kireek for the last time in From the Depths, make sure your inventory is not full, or you will not get the Soul Eater. That android's weapon... - Ivan - 06-05-2004 Thanks Kefa! And for all who are curious, to get Soul Banish (The superior form of Soul Eater, just do this quest in ultimate) That android's weapon... - Hrith - 06-05-2004 Sorry, but although Kireek does use Soul Banish in Ultimate, you will get a Soul Eater for defeating him all the same. If you want a Soul Banish, the easiest way is to hunt one from Ultimate Skyly Delbiters in either Seabed or West Tower. Soul Banish has the best ATA of all partisans and the second best ATP. That android's weapon... - Ivan - 06-05-2004 Geez, Kefka. It's as if you hacked this game to get all this info o.O That android's weapon... - Hrith - 07-05-2004 I have
