those weird gamecube controller keyboad thingies and stuff... - ZpoonZ - 10-05-2004 OK, so i have PSO for the DC, Xbox and GCN! i prefer it on the GCN, and just started playing it again (despite losing my character data  ) but never online with the cube. i was thinking about buying a broadband adapter, but then thought "how do you actually communicate?" i mean, simple on the DC as you had that nifty keyboard, Xbox you had that madonna style headset thingy, but what about the cube? i've seen that ASCII keyboard/joystick thing, but does anyone actually use that? i was also wondering how active PSO is still, considering it's getting a little dated now. is interest in it waning. is it still worth forking out quite a bit of cash to get set up?!? cheers! those weird gamecube controller keyboad thingies and stuff... - Lee-yoshi - 10-05-2004 To communicate you can either use the on-screen keyboard (Y Button) anytime while playing and type out your message with the controller. Or you could buy a keyboard for the GC, such as (And mainly) Datel's Powerboard. ![]() You could also buy the more expensive GC controller with intergrated keyboard for extreme-ness! Demand for PSO is i'd say still as good as it ever was. Demand has never really decreased. Very popular game, always with new updates aswell to keep everyone coming back for more. PSO is updated much more then the Xbox-Live game. those weird gamecube controller keyboad thingies and stuff... - ZpoonZ - 10-05-2004 thanks! yeah, as i posted that i did a bit of searching and saw the datel powerboard. for only 20 quid too! one last thing, does anyone know if the gamecube broadband adapter will work with the panasonic Q? i've got a terrible feeling the answer is going to be no... those weird gamecube controller keyboad thingies and stuff... - Lee-yoshi - 10-05-2004 Dont tell me you've actually got a Panasonic Q-Cube!! *GASP* I have no idea whether it works or not, if you've got one, have a look at the bottom. If its got the slots for a broabdband adapter, then yes it should. If it hasn't...then probabily not. those weird gamecube controller keyboad thingies and stuff... - ZpoonZ - 10-05-2004 Lee-yoshi Wrote:Dont tell me you've actually got a Panasonic Q-Cube!! *GASP*yeah, it's pretty sexy! i got it from lik-sang and paid a fair whack for it (by the time you add VAT and import duty), then when i was in japan about a month ago, i saw one for about 140 quid second hand, which i could have got through for nothing extra! but i guess you can't worry about that stuff... you just have to go for it! i know that gameboy players won't work (you have to buy a special one for the Q) so i was wondering if the broadband adapter might be the same. i'll check it out later. cheers! those weird gamecube controller keyboad thingies and stuff... - GOLDIE - 10-05-2004 I would say it would work tbh...the only thing different with the Q is the DVD player ,the nifty display pannel and the sleek silver of it...*drools* those weird gamecube controller keyboad thingies and stuff... - Lee-yoshi - 10-05-2004 Indeed, oh i bet that was a hefty sum u paid for it. They defo shudda released em outside of Japan! Hmmm ![]() I didnt know the GB Player doesnt work with the Q. Strange unless it does take different settings. I can't really help u. Why not e-mail Lik-Sang... or Nintendo/Panasonic! The only way to get the best answer! those weird gamecube controller keyboad thingies and stuff... - GOLDIE - 10-05-2004 Lee-yoshi Wrote:Indeed, oh i bet that was a hefty sum u paid for it. Hmmm the GB player doesnt work because of the legs on the Q at the bottom =/. those weird gamecube controller keyboad thingies and stuff... - Lee-yoshi - 10-05-2004 Oh right, thanks for clearing that up! Yet something else the GC doesn't have. How unclassy! In which case Internet Adapters should fit. those weird gamecube controller keyboad thingies and stuff... - Frost - 10-05-2004 oooo... I really wanna get one of those controller keyboards, but Im not sure if it would effect the way that I play the game... oh well I'll just stick with the normal keyboard |
