Ok when I got that error which erased my unequipped items the memory card in slot B was corrupt. Can this error do this? If not I'm taking this stupid lame memory back..

If you got "that error" (FSOD) when the game was saving, then it will usually corrupt your memory card.
If it is a 3rd party memory card, then it will randomly corrupt a lot more often than an official one would.

I guess the glitches and error will always be there, you just have to hope that you wont be affected by them....i could work...
