Keyboard advice? - Jubei - 22-09-2004

[EDIT: having re-read this, I need to point out that this is for the XBox]

If like me you find it kinda... odd... using the voice communicator on PSO (and also, you've lost the bit that attaches it to your head so you have to hold it the whole time and look like a muppet) then a keyboard is obviously going to be the way forward, as the on screen keyboard is pooer than big pile of poo!

What is the best way to use a keyboard? I noticed that you can buy a special Xbox keyboard, but I already have a Dreamcast keyboard lieing in a box upstairs and I don't really want to add to that pile of dead peripherals (it also includes a fishing rod controller, DC gun, DC mouse, and 4 DC controllers, DOH!). Can you use the USB adaptor jobbies and plug in a USB keyboard to play with PSO? Then I can have it for my laptop too and it would make a lot more sense...

I would imagine you could. A USB keyboard or find a PS2 (the PC port a normal keyboard uses, not the console ^_^) to USB converter. I think there are some DC->PC(PS2) converters if you really wanted to use the spare DC keyboard, but then you would need a PS2->USB converter, which would mean DC->PS2->USB which MIGHT work on a Xbox.
