Just a small question about piping. Does it work on any monster which has a rare form? For example: I can find a Red Saber from a Hildetor in Ult. Forest. If I go and find a Hildelt in Ult. and just keep piping that room over and over, will a Hildetor eventually turn up? Thanks.

Yes, any monster at all. Slimes also have a chance of being rare when they're multiplied... so that's four chances per slime ^_^
The best room for torrs is in the offline quest "forest of sorrows," the room just before going up to the control tower where the dragon teleporter is... go in and kill the hildelt at the back and another two should drop down, making four hildelts... or you can just leave it at three. Then pipe away

Okay..so basically if I see a Hildelt, for instance, at all, and I just pipe away then eventually it will be a Hildetor?

The possibility for 1 Hildelt changing into a Hildetor does not differ between, say, a quest and regular play does it? Obviously, the number in a room will change the chances, but not the chances of 1..right?

nope, no difference between online/offline/quest what so ever, I forget the exact percentage chance of one changing but no difference as far as I know of. Oh yeah... except piping doesn't work online since the monster data is saved.

I think the chance of it being rare are something like 1/500 odd, so 3 in a room, the will be three 1/500 odd cances of getting one

Piping is good, but 2/4 rare enemies on Ult have a high level Megid...

So equip a whole bunch of dark resists when you go piping for them, that way you're less likely to be killed via megid...
