Nagging feeling about coruption constently. - werdna - 08-11-2004 Does anyone else have the problem of constenly worrying that you might wake up one day and find your card had corrupted? P.S.: Also this morning my brother droped one of my memory cards and the cover broke off, still worked after putting the cover back on but it's just hard on the nerves. Nagging feeling about coruption constently. - Double Edge - 08-11-2004 I don't really worry no. Memory cards are specifically designed by Nintendo (the official ones at least) to keep that in check. They don't become corrupt for no reason. Usually it's because people turn off the power while the game is saving. It says Do not Turn the Power Off for a reason. Nagging feeling about coruption constently. - Orphen - 08-11-2004 Werdna, very interesting name, it's mine backwards, sometimes I will randomly call myself that, as will other people, otherwise I am basically called Nova. But yeah, it sometimes nags me, but there is usually a reason data corrupts, such as mistreating your memory card, such as tossing it around and not taking care of it, or FSOD, or turning off your game while it is saving. Otherwise I don't really worry about anything like that unless i've done that sort of thing. Nagging feeling about coruption constently. - VashYsk - 08-11-2004 yeah corruption just wont happen if you stare at your card long enough, it will usually happen if the power goes out during saving. thats why segas double save feature on pso sucks because people will turn the power off without realizing that the game is still saving Nagging feeling about coruption constently. - Orphen - 08-11-2004 Yeah, that's how I corrupted once a while ago. Gotta get into the habit of not doing that. Nagging feeling about coruption constently. - DarkMagician - 08-11-2004 BTW, not flaming or anything, but a CERTAIN STUPID EXPENSIVE MULTI-PLAYER FINAL FANTASY GAME FOR GAMECUBE corrupted my memory card ages ago! FF:CC is evil! do not play it without an official card, unless you WANT to lose everything... Nagging feeling about coruption constently. - Orphen - 08-11-2004 Meh, not like anyone would want to, that game is crap, as is most of squareenix's productions. Nagging feeling about coruption constently. - cOoLdUdE - 08-11-2004 Just got corrupt on diff unofficall memory card Only chars where like lvl 1 Few Nagging feeling about coruption constently. - QwertyMan - 09-11-2004 Nintendo made cards can still have problems too though. Nintendo's newest memory card has compatability issues with several games, none of which you'd actually want to play but i would think an official product would at least work for all the games on the system... As for being corrupted, i dont worry because i dont play online due to the fact that the greedy ppl at SEGA want to milk the PSO cow as much as they can. |
