:mad: I got pso for my pc, had it for about a month and a half i was level 32 and had got hold of a really cool double saber after helping another player back to life. Then this guy came into the game and asked if he could dupe my weapon. I had never heard of duping before, he told me i would get my saber back and a spare one. I agreed and let him borrow it. He gave me a my saber back after doing something with it at the bank, and then he started duping other peoples stuff. Then i got FSOD , that was tonight! I hate duping!And i miss my double saber, it not fair ever since i been playing i alway been kind to other players and helped newbies. Then these cheaters come along and ruin the game.:mad:

Yes they do. But I don't think that the dupe caused your FSOD. You had the double saber for a while and didn't get FSODed? Well, all duping does is create an exact duplicate of an item. So, he was changing any code or an item, like hackers do when they release items that aren't supposed to be out yet. I think it could have been a coincidence. Or I could be wrong

i have noticed with my Xbox version that dupes dont cause FSOD but usually if that happens its a coincidence. Hey i lost my Snow Queen and my Devils Wings last night because my game FSODed. But u know what i did, played in a couple of games, kicked some monster @$$, and then i saved my whole team and in return they gave me a Nidra, Panzers tails, and some other gun that freezes enemies (Dark Haze????)

Well. The Panzer tail is a dupe straight off. Not sure about the other gun though.
FSOD can happen any time. But the general rule is to stay away from busy ships. How many English people play the PC verison? Since it wasn't released outside Asia.

The panzar tail is a banned item i've been told along with my double saber but i ran into a guy today who has given me 2 double sabers to play with, only trobule is at lvl 5 i got a while before i can use them
after chatting with various people they think that i was fsod'd because of the double saber being a banned item, trouble is it's my favourite weapon.:mad:

i dont want to start a flame war or anything, but i think duping is OK, well since it is kinda a glitch, i dont dupe myself, but i know how, and dont bother asking. i mean it's not like you are cheating, you are duping a item, that you have of your own, the only reason it's a problem is when you trade the dupes, i mean if you are just duping something for your own characters use, then i'd have to say it's OK. i think, becuase of the topic title, this should be an opinion board. no i will not use dupes for the contest that i am holding, though unless i trade something for a item that is a dupe and i use it ion the contest i will not know and therefore you are taking a risk of getting a dupe and not know about it ever. sure items like BKB and Orotiagito, and other very good items are duped, then why take the risk if you dont want a dupe, well find the facts..... the BKB for instance is a commonly duped item, and if you do not want to have a duped item, dont take it. legit or not.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion so you can say what you want, as long as it isn't flaming and kept within the forum rules.
I think duping for your own chars are ok. As long as you don't round giving them to people then I don't see the hassle. It annoys me when people try and pass an item off as legit when it isn't. That's just decieving someone and plain nasty.
Personally, as long as people keep it to themselves they can do what they want. It's when they start advertising it about the lobbies that ticks me off.

I was playing PSO online late last night, and i think there was mass duping going on as he had loads of other weapons in his account. I dunno what he does, but i only take weapons from more trustworthy people. Also my cousin told me that saving duped items could damage the memory card, is this true?

I don't think dupes can damage your save. They are just copies of perfectly legit items. Someone had to find them to dupe them.
But I think hacked items can.
