Samurai Champloo - Teh EkwEE - 04-02-2005

I was wondering if you all have seen this series yet. I've seen the commercials for it on Techtv and it looks pretty cool but for a boxed DVD set that's going to cost some money I want to make sure it's good before I buy it.

This is truly awesome show. As you've probably heard, or not, this show is directed by the guy who did Cowboy Bebop, so it hold some simularities in art style and characters. But stand alone it's a great samurai anime packed with action, badasses and lowbrow humor. A definate must-watch in my opinion. Mugen is such a badass.

Yeah I heard it was the same guy who did Bebop, that's why I was interested in it in the first place.Big Grin I think I'll get it then. How many episodes does it have in the boxed set, and is that all of them?

Samurai Champloo - Kisanzi - 04-02-2005

Ummm...the orange colored box that just released only comes with the first volume. It has 4 episodes and there's probably 6 or 7 other volumes that are coming out over the span of this year.

Samurai Champloo - Karasu Murder - 27-02-2005

I've only managed to see one episode of it so far, and I'm still trying to borrow it from my friend so I can watch more, but I've loved what I've seen. The beginnign sequence was a bit odd compared to the other animes we were watching that day, but it fits the series it self in an odd way..
