Bad new, Good new, Excellent news - Grave_Guardian - 04-03-2005 You didn't hear/read this from me. I was at my local EB the other day and got taking to the guy there. He told me and frien of his that were there 3 things. Bad new: Unfortunaltly in our area (Me, Darkmatter, Sessoumur(I spell that right?) The DS is not selling very well, compared to the PSP. The same goe for Japan. Good news: Nintendo is developing a new Gameboy to compete, no release date yet. Or weather it will use cartrige or CD based tech. Excellent news: Nintendo is develooping a NEW SYSTEM as well. This new system will include a harddrive. He has a friend that works for Nintendo and he sent him a screen shot of the system. In the lower corner of the screen you can see a Bios system working. I'd say the system wars are back on with a new fire. Bad new, Good new, Excellent news - DARKMATTER - 04-03-2005 It's true, It's true. Plus I already knew bout this some info leaked on the nintendo forums by a nintendo game developer . Though the DS just needs time to kick in, PSP I still dont like, I hate using CD's.
Bad new, Good new, Excellent news - mr_shoe_uk - 04-03-2005 I wouldn't expect DS sales to continue to compete with PSP, as it's still in the after-launch rush phase. In the long term, I still think DS could easily end up doing better. As it stands, it still has an enormous lead over PSP. Bad new, Good new, Excellent news - Double Edge - 04-03-2005 Yes, I agree with mr. shoe. The DS is and will be doing better than PSP. I still enjoy using CD's over cartridges and whatnot, but when it comes right down to it, it's no biggie. At any rate, the DS will win with the grossing sales. I know it. Bad new, Good new, Excellent news - mr_shoe_uk - 04-03-2005 People from the 'net aren't always the best representation either, because people on the internet will be older than those younger, who would make up a large amount of game boy/DS sales. As well as gameboys always being an option for gamers who aren't necessarily so 'hardcore', and therefore might not be posting on gaming messageboards. Finally, many of those getting a DS might not afford regular internet access (even though so many do have it nowadays), and DS is the cheaper option. I still think it's looking good for the DS, it's initial figures already vastly surpassed Nintendo's predictions, so I don't think we'll be seeing the next game boy until late 2006 at the VERY earliest. Bad new, Good new, Excellent news - Teh EkwEE - 04-03-2005 It makes you look at the stupidity on Sonys part. They come out with a new system who's specs at the very best are halfed that of their console system for twice the money. You don't do something like that unless you want to end up like Sega *prays for that to happen to Sony, and once again allow Nintendo to once again own Square.* Bad new, Good new, Excellent news - Ivan - 04-03-2005 I personally don't care for the bad news, because if they don't have the DS. It's their fault for missing out. The excellent news kicks ass. All the rumors excite me but there's nothing ever official. At least the hard drive part is cool. Maybe they'll put in a Mp3 part for listening to tracks while u play a game.

Ya listening to music would be great. Although hopefully they keep the save cards so that you can still cary your characters to other peoples places. Bad new, Good new, Excellent news - DARKMATTER - 05-03-2005 Save cards will be round for ever. Unless u get like to Star trek type terms where u ask the computer to copy ur files over lol. Bad new, Good new, Excellent news - Lee-yoshi - 05-03-2005 lol, you fools. Theres nothing confirmed about any new systems, and there wont be until E3 in May. You should all know that by now, tsch! If its rumours you want, the new GameBoy has been given a press/media codename of GameBoy Evolution, and has been said its going to have one big screen, and use button interface alike the previous GameBoys, and could see and end of 2005 release, while the new Nintendo console is Nintendo Revolution, of which has a fair few threads in this part of the forums! |
