Thinking about getting EP3 - Teh EkwEE - 07-03-2005

I was thinking about getting EP3 to continue the story more than anything else. I saw the score the game in EGM and was fairly impressed. But the card battling turned me off. So I was wondering if you all could give me some incentive to get it. What are the beggining vs. advanced battles like? What is the general speed of the game? Are there any new costumes? I know that the Heros and Arkz are HUnters and FOrces. What about RAngers? I figured I should go ahead and get the game because I played Blue Star Memories, and know the history behind Break and Orland. I was just wanting you guys to convince me.

Just for the story? Well, there's a tiny bit of info about Rico and Flowen if you choose to play one of the quest arcs, which is very slightly more interesting, but to get the whole story, you'll have to play through the game six times, once for each main character, all offline!

Main Characters:
Heroside: HUnewearl, RAmar, FOmarl
Darkside: FOmar, RAcaseal, HUmar
(You cannot customise their appearance or special abilities, only their decks.)

You don't really need to know any history about Break and Orland. If you did Blue Star Memories (under the same hunter license), you can gain access to an extra download quest. That's all really. They don't even remember you when you talk to them offline Sad. So there's not-- *Confusedpeech: remembers that she's supposed to be trying to convince someone to buy the game*

Heroside is also called Hunters, and doesn't just contain HUnters. Each side has 12 characters (one of each class), so there're 24 characters in all.
The Darkside is also called Arkz.

Have you seen the 24 characters you'll be playing with? This site gives some information:

Too bad if you don't like the look of them. You'll be stuck with them for the entire game Tongue.

The speed is slow compared to Ep1&2 due to the nature of the game. There are no new costumes. Give the card-battling a chance. It wasn't half as boring as I thought it would be.

The characters were cute enough. Smile

I see Break and Orland are on the different sides. They seemed to have conflicting beliefs all through Blue Star Memories anyways. Okay, I'll probably get the game for my birthday then. If my mom wants to buy it for me, that is.

It was good when it first came out cos there was loads online, but after you get a decent deck it just gets to boring.................most of the ships look like a tumble weed will blow past!

I had so much fun with this game after it came out. The people, the friends, the tournaments, I quit the day noone was online. The offline sucked, and since everyone was gone, I sold the game and got myself Starfox Assault.

I wouldn't get it if you don't have it now. Unless you like being bored to death playing offline 6 times and then finding you have to get to lv999 onine&offline to officially have beaten the game. It's like a break in the storyline. So I wouldn't spen $50 especially to get a little info on Rico and Flowen, especially if that's your only reason.
