Gathering Information Before Setting Up NGC With PSO - CrimsonWolf - 13-03-2005 hi, i have tryed and failed twice to set up PSO with my gamecube so that it will run on the online mode, I have no expirience whatsoever with setting up consoles etc but i would like to check wheter I can do this to get my gamecube online, I have a network at home between my sisters pc and my pc, It is lnked by A HUB etc, i was wondering wheter i could simply plug a ethernet cable in to the bba to the hub would this get me online? if so would i have to change any settings on the PSO game? ** i dont have the game or BBA yet i sold them both a few months ago, but i just wanted to check to see what i will have to do before buying them again** Thanks , stephen oh yes and i was thinking of buying an xbox soon should i try and get PSO for that or try the cube? personally i want to try the cube because i prefer it but whatevers eaisier... please help me Actually i wont get an xbox ill just try the cube, hopefully i can get it to work plz help me EDIT - Ria: Don't triple post, edit your first post please Gathering Information Before Setting Up NGC With PSO - decswxaqz - 13-03-2005 hmmm. You should be able to. What is your ISP? I know people have trouble with AOL. But you should be able to connect your GC up fine. Just make sure you use the right ethernet cable. There are two, cross-over and normal. Not sure which you'll need. If you have a computer friend, ask them if they could borrow some cables to try. As for settings, should work with auto. Gathering Information Before Setting Up NGC With PSO - CrimsonWolf - 13-03-2005 thanks my isp is ntl:home now to get hold of the BBA and PSO game again lol :S oh yeah i was wondering when i plug it all in corectly etc, do i just o on online mode on PSO? when setting the GC up to PC i dont even have to altar any setting one the pc do i? and does having my sister computer sharing the connection with my pc wil lthat affect the GC? I had to congifure everything manually. Then I used ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) to hook my GC to my PC... but if you have a hub it should be ok.
