"Free" Piano Sheet Music :P : PSO Ending - Mirinee - 19-03-2005 For any pianist who likes PSO! This was created out of desperation. No PSO scores online anywhere. I would have done it more neatly if I didn't rush, lol. I hope you can read it (btw, the accidental on the last note in the bottom-left bar on page 2 is a #). The tune itself is not too difficult, so please give it a try and have fun .Title: I can still see the light. Edit: Updated it. See: http://www.ragol.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=197722 "Free" Piano Sheet Music :P : PSO Ending - decswxaqz - 20-03-2005 Wow. That's some work ![]() Well done ![]() Transcriber it for you using NoteWorthy Quite good program. Trial version only lets you save something 10 times. But dead easy to use. In bar 18 it sounds pretty weird. Also. Is that a minim at the end? I put a crotchet so it makes it 4/4. I'll send you the actual music file if you want it. It plays really well. I'm just trying to export it for everyone to hears. Once again, takes a lot of work to do that and good job on the accuracy. EDIT: Ok managed to record the sounds. (EDIT 2: Uploaded better quality tracks. Songs are about 5mb each. Zip is 15mb) I made the mistake of thinking the curved lines (ties) were slurs -_-. If they were then that's ok but if not sorry. So I did two versions. The slurs are the output from the score sheet attached. Then I remade them with some of the chords on seperate lines and tied instead of slurred. And I changed the instruments to something a bit better. I think that harp sounds nice but the string need to be softer.... now everyone can enjoy mirinees music ^_^ EDIT 3: These songs are the 'old' version of mirinee's song. They don't include the amendments below that she made. I'm just too lazy Have updated picture though.http://www.decswxaqz.co.uk/decswxaqz/forum/songs/ Piano - Slurred version Piano - Tied version Harp & String - Slurred version Harp & String - Tiedversion Score Sheet (slurred one line) Score Sheet (tied multiple lines) Everything zipped "Free" Piano Sheet Music :P : PSO Ending - Mirinee - 20-03-2005 Wow! Thanks so much decs! You must've spent ages entering that to Noteworthy too. *\o/ Hurrah! \o/* Bar 5 has the same rhythm as bar 6. It's a 3-beat (dotted minim) and 2 half-beats (quavers). It's likely there's something wrong with the accompaniment part. I really need to check it properly, but I won't be able to get to a piano for another 2 weeks :'(. In the bar just before it changes key signature, there is a rather long pause between the 2nd and third beat. Tell that to Noteworthy. I bet it's quite tricky to get the "feeling" into the music, hehe. ![]() Edit: Here is the .mp3 of it. It was originally a .ogg from Blue Burst. I hope I don't get into trouble for this. http://www.geocities.com/l26_raichu/pso/mirinee/psoPIANO.mp3 "Free" Piano Sheet Music :P : PSO Ending - decswxaqz - 20-03-2005 Didn't take that long. Once you know the shortcuts it's dead quick. If it didn't have the layout it does, I imagine it would take a while, but it didn't good program design.Ok. I think I'll leave it until/if you decide to change it. If you do, tell me and I'll make the changes if you want. To be truthful it can't be the programmes fault because it's all erm....programmed. It might not sound right but when you play things in real life you can always slightly change things and aren't accurate so sound bett/worse. With computers it's exact . Also noticed that in bar 8 (key change) there is an ever so slight awkward silence from the tie. Nothing starts on the 3 beat. I know this is a computer problem because it's accurate. I imagine a piano's leaves a tone that would cover this. If you can play that then you are better than me.... I took piano lessons but gave up.... my hands are independant when it comes to music. What one hand does the other has to copy... which is strange because I guess it's just like typing =/ "Free" Piano Sheet Music :P : PSO Ending - Mirinee - 21-03-2005 They are ties. You can't slur the same note on a piano. ![]() I haven't downloaded Noteworthy yet, so I can only see the attachment .png, but could you please change: Bar 5: remove the last note and make the G into a dotted minim (3-beats). Bar 22: please add the G natural. This note's makes a slight dischord, but it's quite important. (There's also a redundant # symbol on the C, lol. My mistake. It'll be a C# already anyway). Bar 18: thanks for pointing this out: the last two notes of the bass clef should be quavers, not crotchets. The last beat is a crotchet rest. Quote:It might not sound right but when you play things in real life you can always slightly change things and aren't accurate so sound bett/worse. With computers it's exact .I just downloaded the Noteworthy-played mp3s, but I don't like them. It's not a good idea to use a computer for pieces in "tempo rubato", which means not needing to keep to a strict strict rhythm (in order to express feeling). Please listen to the original again (link in last post). You'll notice immediately. ![]() The middle of bar 8 is the end of a phrase. The last two notes of bar 8 are in free time, much like the two notes at the very beginning of the piece. I can quite imagine the sudden "awkward silence" the computer will produce. Even if you tell the computer to hold the notes, it'll still sound far too mechanical. Maybe it's the Android's version of the piece.Performed by a human (Newman too?? ), the piece should sound just like the original. That is what I'm trying to achieve with this score, really. It's a little slower than the Noteworthy version, and quite easy (Grade 2-3 on UK's ABRSM exam board?) to perform. Try it yourself and hear the difference .
"Free" Piano Sheet Music :P : PSO Ending - decswxaqz - 21-03-2005 Ok. I've updated the picture via Photoshop . The noteworthy files still contain the old versions still.I made the songs because I was showing how close your music was to the original in terms of tune, not quality. I agree 100% that it doesn't sound right and that it would sound much better on a piano. I don't have a piano so I can't record it for you . I might try it on my keyboard when I get home though ^^EDIT: Shame noone else is replying to this though.... all your hard work is going to waist . At least I appreciate your work ^^.
"Free" Piano Sheet Music :P : PSO Ending - Mirinee - 21-03-2005 Thanks for helping me make the Noteworthy score! It isn't a waste, because I love this PSO tune, and that made the whole process of transcribing and playing it great fun . I made this after seeing whiteninja's thread about PSO music scores.Bar 22: Please see my original messy picture. I meant the extra G natural on the treble clef (supposed to be played with left hand). The G in the bass clef should be as it originally was: sharpened. Sorry for being unclear last time! "Free" Piano Sheet Music :P : PSO Ending - decswxaqz - 21-03-2005 Woah. Missed whole note :S Sorry. Fixed? "Free" Piano Sheet Music :P : PSO Ending - Lee-yoshi - 22-03-2005 No-one else is posting? I think this is great for a first of its kind type of thing. Itd be very cool to see SEGA release the actual scoresheet and then compare the two to see how many differences there actually were (Although im sure a Pro company such as them would have a few other markings on there to make it look like a grade 8 piece or something!). If you didnt already know, i can play the piano, well could anyways. I passed Grade 1 then gave up (couldn't be bothered XD), but if i had a piano/keyboard nearby, id SO be downloading this scoresheet so i can play it myself ^_^ Good work Mirinee
