Does Sega update weapons? - Israfel - 04-04-2005 Does anyone know if Sega has or continues to make new weapons for PSO eps. 1 and 2? I don't play it online so I have no idea and was curious if they do. If they do, which are the newest and if not, why not? Does Sega update weapons? - Wootem Ace - 04-04-2005 Two Words....No Does Sega update weapons? - whiteninja - 04-04-2005 I think you mean 1 word, not two.... I don't believe ST could add new weapons into the game, because then if you took them offline, there wouldn't be any code to display or use them in the game disc's source code because you can't update the disc. Besides, ST is way too lazy. Welcome to Ragol Forums! Does Sega update weapons? - Anti Hacker - 04-04-2005 Actually thats not essentially true, the code can be saved in the SEGA data or whatever it's called as a kind of patch. If you have ever played online, you may notice tiny tweaks in your offline game, this is most probably where they come from. They could also release Dark Flow and the Red Ring online. There are already online only items such as the Purple ring and the Demonic Fork. Some hackers have created new items and spread them across online mode, and they all seem to work offline to. Thingks like the throwing saber with its unique white photon blades that actually only adds 1atp, but meh. Be wary of online traders, there is currently an item floating about that when you equip it it FSOD's you. I am pretty sure that PSO dosent save an item as you might think, by somewhere in the coding stating something like: player has 1x Saber. Its more like: Player has weapon - Hunter class item using Saber model with Saber textures and a photon blade of RGB colour x (where x is whatever the colour of the blade is meant to be in probably hex) that is called x (followed by a list of the statistics and boosts and effects of that weapon) I believe this is partly the reason you can name your own s-rank. Also, no one has created any new modeled or textured weapons that have appeared on PSO since it was brought out in the shops, hackers have only used random textures on random models tampered with the blade colour and stats and given these 'new items' different names. Hope this shines a wintery ray of sunlight on mystery items for all you people who really care
