connecting without a HUB. - HUmar link - 22-08-2003 ok i got the BB adapter, and so now how do i hook it up without a HUB, or is it impossible. connecting without a HUB. - decswxaqz - 22-08-2003 You can connectly connect to to your BB modem but I wouldn't recommend it. First off, it can be mighty hard to do, took me 10 minutes to get it to work when I used this method every time I switched from PC to GC. Also, you can't go on the net at the same time, so only the PC or the GC can be online at once. connecting without a HUB. - HUmar link - 22-08-2003 but where does the cord go, one side goes into the GC, and the other one goes into the PC?, or does it go into the xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx???? i dont know connecting without a HUB. - decswxaqz - 22-08-2003 Depends on how you set it up. If you are directly connecting your GC to the modem then I think you need a cross over ethernet cable. If you connect your GC to your PC then your modem, you need a normal ethernet cable. connecting without a HUB. - Anjiru - 27-08-2003 i have to do that, because my brothers friend took his hub back, so we have a blue cable thing, its like a phone cord thingy at teh end, and one side of that is plugged into the gamecube, and since we have cable internet , we plug the other end of the cord into the place wehre the phone line cord thing for the pc went in....i know that soudns really confusing but thats only cause i dunno how to explain it that well lol but i tried connecting without a HUB. - Schoichet - 27-08-2003 LOL in othew werds thats a vary complx way to say you have a brod band cunectshin

connecting without a HUB. - Proj3ct_Zer0 - 31-08-2003 Quote:Originally posted by decswxaqz I think its the opposite of that, if its direct you need a normal and a cross over for a GC to Modem connection. It all depends on how your setting it up really. Make sure when you get your cable its the right one. Thats what caused me all the problems. I found out I had a normal ethernet cable and I need a cross over. All I had to do though was buy an adapter from the local computer store to change the signals to cross over. connecting without a HUB. - Ivan - 31-08-2003 You guys cant even remember after you both got zero to hook up or was there no HUB. |
