you get yourself a mag. Eventually level it up all the way to level 50, then at level 55, it changes into something completely different? I had a Kaitabha who became a Varaha at lvl 55 then a Kaitabha again at some point and not 30 minutes ago went to level 65 and became a Bhirava....does this make any sense to anyone?

Depends on the stats of the mag. Once you improve one part of a mag more than others, it can change types.

The mag you have from level 50-200 depends on the POW, DEX, and MIND stats along with the character type and ID. They can evolve on every multiple of 5 starting at level 50 (unless it becomes a special mag).
So if at level 50 you have a 5/15/17/13 mag you have MAG-A; then five levels later it's 5/20/17/13 so now that POW is greatest you have MAG-B; five levels after that it's a 5/20/17/18 and since MIND changed to being in the middle, you have MAG-C; then at level 65 you have a 5/20/17/23 mag AND you change characters, that'll give you a COMPLETELY different mag.
Put simply: Every 5 levels from 50-200 a mag will evolve if the stats or character change and it isn't a special mag.

y the hell would i want to turn it off? its only a mag.... wereas experience is experience, and that mag is beiing used on my RAcast, he kicks ass lol!

But a rare mag takes ages to train, and you jsut did it wrong by one level! I woul'd have kept the rare myself, I can get a bit of experience any time.

If I've played more than 1 hour, found a PD, gotten a luck material or alot of other materials, a 10 star weapon, or beat a boss and it was a fluke and I couldn't repeat it, I'll just continue with the mag. But usually I stop feeding it at about level 97, then save once I beat the level, and start up a quick game JUST to do that so I don't screw it up.

well ive screwed up the HUmar one im doingg, but instead of it evolving at 5,50,45,0 its now evolving at 6,55,49,0. simple
doesnt make a difference really.
