Hello, first post, i think it goes here, anyway.
I'm trying to connect my gamecube to the internet through an NTL broadband cable modem do I....
A) Need to buy a 10Base-T thernet cable to connect the cable modem to the broadband adapter.
B) Need to buy a wire i don't know the name of to connect to the point in the wall (not likely as it has a different connector).
C) Need to buy a router to split it between the computer and the gamecube.
D) Other
Ntl made me install some "CorrectConnect" software, i do not know if this will affect it. I appreciate your help!

Reaver is your cable modem connected by USB or ethernet to your comp at the moment?

The modem is connected to the computer through a 10base-t ethernet. But the cable is too short so I need to buy a longer one. Does anyone have any ideas on where to find a cheap router in the uk?
Edit: I don't need to be on the internet on the computer and on the gamecube at the same time, i don't mind having to change each time.

If you dont mind unplugging the cable each time you wanna go online with your GC then you dont need to buy any extra cables / nic cards / hubs etc. Thing is you wont be able to go on the net with your comp at the same time and unplugging the cables everytime is a pain in the ass.
The cheapest option would be to setup net connection sharing using your current network card and connect the modem by USB. The more expensive solution would be buying some more cable and hooking up a router. My router cost me £80.

Yup
make sure you get the right type of cable though:Most modems use a standard (straight-through) ethernet cable. However, some modems require a crossover Ethernet cable. See your modem documentation for more information.

It says on the website that the modems are issued with 10Base-T cables so all i need is a really long one.

Yea they all use RJ45 CAT5 BaseT cables but make sure if its the standard type you need or 'crossover'.
