the anime has a good look to it, but i feel that it is too boring.

Well I gave in and stopped waiting for the boxset, and got volume 1 (volume 2 on its way).
If the fact I ordered volume 2 hasn't given it away already, I'm really enjoying it! I was at first dissapointed, I didn't enjoy it as much as I did the film, but it didn't take long for me to realise this was also great, in a slightly different way. It's got enough action, as well as thoughtfulness. I've only seen the first 3 episode so far, but each one throws up an interesting sci-fi question. The way the mini-tanks chatter among themselves is very funny, and quite clever too.
