How do you kill Gran Sorcerors? - tangwistel - 01-06-2005
Level 140 casting FOmar here, struggling with ult Ruins. I know I suck, but aaarg.
I'm high enough level that most stuff just bounces off, especially with Deband + Jellen (Arlan, I laugh at you, bwahaha). But the Sorcerors just slap me about. I'll spam a few Foies at it and do poor damage, then try to dodge the megid and most of the time fail. Then while I'm on the ground waiting for the scape to kick in, it's healing up again. My Foie is level 29 and I'm not doing 200 to it.
I HATE THESE THINGS. I just quit and saved halfway through Ruins 1 because I couldn't kill the bloody thing.
How do you people kill them?

i do not know why you are doing so little damage.
foie is the gran's weakness
use a club of lanconen (the fire/foie one) and a foie marge that should boast foie by 40-50% other than that i am pazzled and confused :S :S
or just weaken the grans def and put your atp up and melee

Use the gi spells like gifoie and all of the the fomar get a boost on the gi spells so you will do more damage.

I used to try and freeze them with rabarta and them take them out with a weapon such as red saber. Those and Indi Belras were what made me hate ULT ruins.

my advice-
-Use the cadecuos and hit the Sorceror with all the grants you have. That hurts it alot and i can kill it in about 3-4 castings with a lvl 117 FOney.

Thanks folks... I'll have a go with grants and see how that does... or maybe I'll slap the power mag on when everything else is dead and then try smacking it with my Holy Ray. It just annoys me because from all accounts FOs are supposed to be able to handle ult ruins at level 100. I'm overleveled anyway because of a hellish '75 agito hunt (66 rappies), and my Holy Ray hunt in Caves. If it wasn't for the sorcs, I'd be indestructible... XD

gi or razonde to take out the bees (his attack / defense gems), then grants. not that tricky actually.
