Ver.2 Help... - Forge - 16-06-2005 I've just got PSO Ver.2 for Dreamcast (although I've already got Ep1&2, I needed some excuse to get a Dreamcast - I now have most Sega consoles EVER!). I've noticed some differences, and I've heard of some others, but this is what I know: o HUcasts, RAcasts and RAcaseals do not recover HP and cannot set traps o Newmen do not recover TP o Techniques are a lot more expensive to buy (V2- Foie Lv1-600; Ep1&2- Foie Lv1-100) o The recovery items recover set values which do not differ, except in Ultimate mode o When you die, you drop your weapon equipped and all Meseta you're carrying o The max level is 100, not 200. Is there anything else I should know, especially related to rare items? Ver.2 Help... - Mirinee - 16-06-2005 Yes, there are lots of differences. The max level is actually 200. Some other things: All spellcasters can learn all spells. E.g. a HUmar can have S/D, Megid, Grants, Reverser for a HUmar. All non-FOrces can learn up to level 15. That includes you, HUnewearl. When you die, your MAG loses no sync. There are no Lv100 Evolution MAGs. Everyone's megid penetrates like the FOnewearl's. No one gets any spell multipliers. Ultimate mode is evil, evil! I couldn't get past Caves without meleeing because they have such high spell resistances, so all FOrces beware. Rare monsters are truly rare rare rare, and when they appear, they rarely drop a rare item. The Club of Laconium/Fire scepter/anything that boosts spells don't work. *Cries* The female sword animation isn't as good as GC version's. It costs 10 times as much as GC version to go to changing room, where only about half as many costumes are available. You can find lots of items with -%s. I've seen -40%. The Red Slicer has really high ATP ^_^ and HUcasts can equip Elysions. There are no weapon combinations. You can get % off enemy parts' weapons, but enemy parts are really really rare! ... Ver.2 Help... - Judgment - 16-06-2005 Teh evil ult mode *cowers* EDIT: And no katana animations. It just uses saber Ver.2 Help... - A.S. - 16-06-2005 Ult mode is evil indeed, as a HUmar I megided from C1-C3, anyway, keep these as your hunts, Red Handgun (usually dropped by Barble) and Red Daggers (usually by Vulmers. Both itmes are considered common. The person who has the drop rates for v. 2 died, thus we only have drops, but go ask around for those. Ver.2 Help... - Forge - 17-06-2005 Cheers guys. It looks kind of scary though... Ver.2 Help... - Mirinee - 17-06-2005 Judgment Wrote:And no katana animations. It just uses saberYep. The stab move with the Katana looks funny. ![]() Some other differences: There are no twin swords (Musashi etc) nor Card type weapons (Mahu). There is a very commonly found slot item called state/maintenance which is a "cure/all". The Akiko's Wok is really strong. ^_^ When you find materials, especially Hit mats which increase ATA, eat to your heart's content because the only limit is your character's max stats, so later on in the game, when making a MAG, don't bother giving it much DEX because your ATA is likely to be maxed out or near maxed out. Ver.2 Help... - A.S. - 17-06-2005 Yea, my HUmars ATA maxed out at 161, I usually got my StateMaintenance from V Hrad Ruins Chaos Sorcer, it's not an actuall drop though, it's kind of like finding KnightPowers from Bringers in GC. Anyway, mag cells drop from Pal Rappy, Ult bosses (1/2800). No Launchers as well, and you get Agito 1975 from a Skyly V Hard Booma (which pwns), not as much power as the GC one though. |
