Advent Rising - Deity - 16-06-2005
OMG!!! This game rocks. You all have no idea. Anyone that has ever considered playin Advent Rising should do it. And for those that havn't... shame on you
. If you like Devil May Cry and Halo then you'll love this game. Or even if you don't like Devil May Cry and Halo, you'll still love this game. There are a few problems with it however. For one, it's really short. I beat it my first time through in around 6 hours. Though it does have multiple paths you can take so it has some replay value. The second is that the story doesn't make tons since. They're making comic books to fill in all the gaps that the story has which isn't really fair especially for people like me. I don't like comics but I love this game. So now I'll probably end up buying the comics just to understand all the damn story. Though they do tell you enough for you to know what's going on. And finally, the games a little glitchy. It doesn't happen a lot but when it does you usually die from it. There's this one glitch when you cast the move called Aeon Pulse. It rises you up into the air and shoots out this big wave. But sometimes you get stuck in the air and can't do anything about it. Plus the monsters that survived can still attack you. But with all those problem aside (and the are pretty minor) this game is freakin' sweet. PLAY IT!!!

It seems to me to be another game with a wise cracking hero and the end of humanity. Its got worse auto lock than pso and unresponsive controls. Apart from the game not being very hard either it has alot of amibition and although the game isnt that original the destruction of humanity never seems to get old even if the game steals stuff from halo *cought warthog and HUD*

Overall its a good game. The frame rate does go down noticeably occasionally (not to often). The camera also gets stuck a few times. Biggest fault of this game is when you get your psychic powers the game loses all its challenge

No, its to easy, its got frame rate issues, and its not very long. I personally give it a 8/10 as the storyline really redeems the game.
