glitchy gamecube - Kashima - 25-06-2005 First and foremost i did a search on gamecube/ problems and found no threads similar to mine. This question goes out to everyone out there with improvisational skills now my gamecube is getting on in age and having trouble reading discs antihacker told me of a trick today to fix that clean the lens which i did and slide it all the way down on the track so it doesnt scroll to far out to where it cant read the discs the problem is after about three minutes of play with any game it pans back out to near the very top which i believe generates the disc read error i tried using a folded up dollar bill to prevent this (( hey you gotta spend money to fix problems right ? )) but it popped the disc out when it tried to pan again so does anyone know of a way to possibly fix this problem for free? glitchy gamecube - solo12334 - 25-06-2005 Just call nintendo and tell them to fix it for u then send it in... i did that to mine and it fixed up (only problem they got some grease on my controller and gcn =/) [you have to send everything in ] glitchy gamecube - Namillus - 25-06-2005 That'll only really work if it's within the warranty border, though, since he said "For free". My GC's jerking me around too. It will read discs, and when it does I can play the game for however long I need, but it's totally unpredictable, and more often than not tells me that there is No Disc. =/ And it's within the 24 month warranty, so... A little trick; If a disc is successfully read, the Cube should make a little double-beep about three-five seconds after closing the disc cover (Or if you just turned the Power On, it beeps immediately after the opening screen for the Cube finishes.) glitchy gamecube - Kashima - 25-06-2005 yeah im aware of the beeping sound thing is it just about always loads the games up its just that mid play it freezes antihacker told me its because the lense is no longer properly set glitchy gamecube - Lee Xao Vue - 27-06-2005 Kashima Wrote:yeah im aware of the beeping sound thing is it just about always loads the games up its just that mid play it freezes antihacker told me its because the lense is no longer properly set if its the lense u could always find a game shop and see if they are able to fix it for ya, theres a game place by me and they fix things but its like 3$ or so sory if this dont help glitchy gamecube - Anti Hacker - 27-06-2005 If it's still within a year of being bought (I think) then you can just take it back to where you bought it and get a whole new GC claiming it is faulty, which it would be in this case. I say 1 year because a year is standard warranty for a GC. glitchy gamecube - Kashima - 27-06-2005 been two years at least since i got this sucker i doubt the warranty still applies glitchy gamecube - Lee Xao Vue - 28-06-2005 for the game shop thingy they didnt go by warrenty or w/e that called they just make u pay a bit and then they can clean and fix stuff for ya glitchy gamecube - Ivan - 28-06-2005 Had mine since the release date and I have the same problem....RIP my cube.... glitchy gamecube - Lee Xao Vue - 28-06-2005 but cant u guys just bring it to a gameshop like i said? not nintendo but a gameshop? bcuz theyr one by me and i bring mine their for fixin or cleaning when i need or or i just do it myself since i know how to lol |
