I think they are a bit confused. That quest is actually called Today's Rate and I have done a guide on it.

They haven't updated the guide since the DC version. Instead of a TP mat, you now get a grinder or material OTHER than TP mat. TP mats were taken out of the GC version and only left in C-mode. I have done this quest with 4 people, and I was the last one to do it (stupid chips in different locations -.-
, I got a power mat. Not the best reward in the world for taking over half an hour to do the sub-plot.
