Bass Guitar Thread of DEATH - Emrys - 17-09-2005
Well, me an' Jimbo were havin a little argument over who makes the best bass guitars.
So, while we continue our arguement, I'll ask the rest of you bassists out there: what are you playing, why, what would you like to be playing, and why?
Personally: I'm stuck with an Ibanez Sound Gear 305 DX at the moment.
I'd like to be playing an Ibanez Iceman in the near future, and a Carl Thompson Custom Bass Guitar in the far future.

Technically we shouldn't argue on this thread or you'll get done for flamin so please NO FLAMING i'm not actually a bassist i'm "multi-talented" i play bass, electric guitar, tape decks AND drums these are my two best guitars and my best drum kit its funny actually coz i've got the same drumkit as Joey Jordison (if you don't know who he is, he's the drummer for slipknot)

Interesting...
I just play bass and some woodwind instruments, but it's not like I'll ever find a use for that... Heh. I think I forgot how to play clarinet.
I don't have the money to pursue any other instruments as of yet.
In any case, I figure if I only play bass, my talents won't get spread too thin.
Being a "jack of all trades" doesn't really appeal to me. I'd rather just be a master bassist.
Actually, it was Rancid's Matt Freeman who inspired me to take up bass and only bass.
I thought: if I ever want to come close to this guy, I'd better not f*** around with anything else but bass.
