Aswell as rasing the change of your mage doing something when aa trigger is set. It also makes your photon blasts stronger and more effective.

The MAG IQ is good for 2 things:
1) The higher the IQ, the more often your MAG will help you out. IT WILL NOT MAKE THEM STRONGER.
2) The higher the IQ, the more often you can feed your MAG items.

Actually it doesn't make your mag need to be fed more.
A mag needs feeding about 3 or 5 mins.
