Saw and Saw II - UK Jester - 02-11-2005 Anyone seen Saw II yet? Also, has anyone picked up a copy of the new Saw UK double disc DVD package? I want details on wether either are any good. Regards UK Jester Saw and Saw II - Cye Zero - 02-11-2005 Saw 1 was good abit gruesome at times but good I haven't seen saw 2 yet but I will later on this week, but I doubt that it will be any better than the first was. Saw and Saw II - Kitsadoodles - 02-11-2005 saw 2 was really good. kinda weird though. there was A LOT of blood. " Oh yes. There will be blood" {quoting the evil john guy}. I thought it was really good and definitely worth seeing. It's a really good sequel too- it covered all of the mysteries from the first one, and HOLY POO A BIG PLOT TWIST! Have fun at the movies! Saw and Saw II - Double Edge - 03-11-2005 lol. Cye Zero, I've heard from a few friends, etc., that Saw II is extremely bloody. I have not yet seen it, but I have seen the first Saw; that was quite bloody yes, but decent. The new one is going to be very gory..so a word to the wise: if blood makes you wanna hurl, perhaps decide against Saw II. Saw and Saw II - Shade - 03-11-2005 The original was good... with a freaky twist... and I really wanna see saw II Saw and Saw II - Deathbringer - 03-11-2005 I have seen Saw but not saw 2. I want to see the second one. The great thing with saw is that it is an original story. Saw and Saw II - Robo Jay - 03-11-2005 I've seen Saw but I can't say it impressed me very much. Thou i've heard Saw2 is much better. Saw and Saw II - Phantom_RAcast - 04-11-2005 Ehh I've seen em both neither were very impressive Saw and Saw II - Vulcan - 05-11-2005 Agreed, i saw Saw 1 the other night and found it very disapointing, a couple of good plot twists but only a couple of moments that i would even consider mildly scary. Will probably go see Saw 2 anyway, hopefully that will be scarier, but most likely at the cost of a decent plot. Saw and Saw II - UK Jester - 05-11-2005 I finally saw(sic) Saw 2 yesterday. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie despite being utterly knackered after 2 nights of insomnia - the film was so good it kept me awake. MINOR SPOILERS WARNING! The film starts out in a similar vein to Scream, in intensity rather than gore, with some directing that adds to the nightmare unfolding on-screen. Jigsaw and the female survivor are back from the first film - both playing pivitol on-screen roles rather than taking a backseat to the other characters. The house of traps is not overtly ingenious but instead relies on some very simple fears. The scene with the huge pit of syringes was plain nasty, fitting into my common fear of needles by a hundred fold. The characters are a mixed bunch of people, some likeable and others dispicable - I've no doubt you'll enjoy the ominous end for the most despicable character in the movie. Talk about just deserts. SPOILER OVER I've still to get the new 2 disc Saw DVD. The extras look fascinating and with any luck will have been worth the overly long wait. Well, I guess some people will like the Saw movies and others will hate it. I love them both, but to me there has been a drought of good Horror movies for many years. I like the combination of plot, mystery, menace, twists, gore and characterisation. For those of you who hated either fim, I don't think you will find much to enjoy in the other so no recommendations here. If you enjoyed either of the two movies then I recommend the other. If you've never seen either then give it a shot, you may enjoy it. Regards UK Jester |
