Blue Burst:Online only? - nomercy - 27-01-2006 Just wanted to know whether i can play blue burst offline,as i want to get it,but i need to get a broadband adaptor. If i can't play offline,i guess i'll have to get PSU instead. Blue Burst:Online only? - Sheik - 27-01-2006 No, you can't. Blue Burst is PC-only and online-only since the characters are saved on the server and not on your computer. Blue Burst:Online only? - Poo Fly - 27-01-2006 Yeah no need for any adapter, if you got a nice PC then just download it and go from there. Blue Burst:Online only? - Moonwraith - 28-01-2006 It's online only, though it does have a one-person mode that is the equivalent of offline mode (with a few minor differences, like the period of invincibility after getting hit on GC disappearing in Ult on BB). Still, the client is free to download, and on US BB, Episode 4 is free too. You only pay £6/$8-9 (can't remember exactly) per month to play. Blue Burst:Online only? - nomercy - 28-01-2006 Cool,i may just do that. Blue Burst:Online only? - whiteninja - 28-01-2006 Remember though, even if you only play the single-player part of it, you still get charged for an HL. Blue Burst:Online only? - Forge - 29-01-2006 The downside of the save on the server is that you can only have four characters. Period. Unless you want two hunter's licences. The upside is that you can play with them on any PC with Blue Burst installed. Blue Burst:Online only? - whiteninja - 29-01-2006 You can play anywhere with a computer... but... What's so bad about having memory cards? You can play them on any GameCube as long as you have the PSO disk... and if you are going to a friend's house to play PSO or something, that is likey. And on that same matter, BB doesn't allow you to do any sort of offline multiplayer with your friends... You HAVE to be at seperate computers, and that means probably in seperate houses - unless you lug 4 computers over and hook them to a router... but then you have uber lag anyway. Then again, I figure, since I started PSO 16 months ago ( :O ) I have spent a little maybe about $12 a month on it... and I believe the BB HL only costs $8.95/mo (though it may be more, I don't quite know), so really it's cheaper... Yet, I do have EP3 because of it, and six 1337 characters, and the ability to easily hand off items between them. (Something BB lacks)
