More of a technical question - Trillia - 02-03-2006

Not sure if this goes here or somewhere else.

How does the game know when to drop and not drop rares, or is this only in online games? When a character with say 99 Trimates creates/enters a team, does it look to see whats up? and shouldn't it only be able to tell when there are two of an identical item(duped not two by coincedence) when they are dropped on the ground? like the old diablo original for PC that went on battle.net. And how could it tell when say the item has 127% native, wouldn't it just delete the hacked item instead of all this passive agressive hassle with rare drops?
