Ver.2 to ep1&2......why did they....? - K_I_R_E_E_K - 27-09-2006 ok, there are thing i do not understand why did sonic team changed when they made ep1&2, i simply cannot find a reason for these questions. 1- the phonton % on the weapons on ver.2 go from -60% to 60%, on gc there are no negative % below -5%.........why? if it is an extra or lower power, why can't weapons have a bad % against some enemys? 2-again the same problem, on todays rate quest on ver.2 you can add % to enemy body weapons, wich makes sense because it is an extra phonton boost, on gc such thing does not exist....why? 3- hit materials, why did they remove hit materials? 4- the one i hate the most, some of you do not know but on ver.2 (i will go only for ultimate) the sil dragon boss gives 6500 exp, the 2nd boss 7000exp, the 3rd one gives 7500exp and dark falz gives 9000exp, you may think this is unfair, at the beguining this exp is very low, but once you lvl up, find rares......this exp is FAIR, i do not understand why gc has bosses that give you amazing exp, for example ultimate dark falz online gives 50000exp, this exp is the same as ver.2 players beat caves1/2/3 + de la rie boss. which do you think is fair? People were making super strong characters. The hit materials were made to increase a characters accuracy but it got a bit out of hand a sonic team decided that removing them was the best solution. Ver.2 to ep1&2......why did they....? - Hrith - 27-09-2006 Hit Materials were removed because Materials are now limited, so you must plan carefully if you don't want to screw up. Forcing us to boost ATA via MAGs or units is a very good idea, it favours a tactical aspect of the game, making it immensely better than ver2. Bosses giving good experience is the least we could expect, Lv 200 still takes from 800 to 1200 hours, I see no reason to complain. The stats of the weapons on ver3 are a lot more balanced, and most enemy parts weapons have high stats, hence why they don't need to have % (but you can add them yourself via Gallon's Shop, anyway). You cannot have negative Photon Attributes simply because it was a very stupid idea to begin with, imagine finding an excessively rare weapon that you have been hunting for months, and it comes with negative PA, how would you feel? Also, PA in ver3 don't work the same way as in ver2 at all. Dex mats are available in Challenge mode. I think you can get them from a quest to, you can on BB. Is that quest online for GC I'm not sure? IMO the boss experience is better in GC. It was kinda silly in ver 2 there was only 2500 exp difference between falz and the sil. People must have just done forest over and over. Now there is a reason to take down the really tough bosses for the great rewards ^_^ Ver.2 to ep1&2......why did they....? - K_I_R_E_E_K - 28-09-2006 Anti Hacker Wrote:I think photon effectiveness gives less of a boost on GC, so even if the %'s you can get seem silly they're probably not too much different.................1 1-true, but what about negative %, -5% is nothing, -30% or so would be good, even if a weapon is -50%/-50%/-50%/0, the weapons is still good on ruins right 2-but why don't all the materials be found on normal gameplay, why is ata diferent 3-2500 is a fair number due to difficulty, sil dragon can be defeated fastly with no cost of hp, so 6500 is fair, dark falz is harder but with the right strategy, it can be defeated over and over again with almost no cost of hp (invencibility mags) i have been cheking bosses experience and on hard the number start to increase alot, for example vhard D.F. gives 5100 (not sure), with the right weapon and char, this boss can be defeated in 3 combos (1 for each form), 3 combos and you get 5100 exp, better is impossible.....oh yeah i almost forgot that on gc the bosses give more, silly me
Ver.2 to ep1&2......why did they....? - nomercy - 28-09-2006 The experience thing is simple. People don't want to bother fighting an opponent over, and over again to get that little amount of XP. Even on GC, it takes a very long time to get to level 200, the higher XP values just make it a little faster.Hit mats were taken out because ATA is the smallest useful value of stat you have. Luck is alright, but doesn't help that much, whereas ATA is something that is required, but can much more easily be raised with units and mags.Weapon percents, again, if you spend 600 hours getting a weapon, and get it with -50/-50/-50/0/0 you wouldn't be happy now, would you? Sure it's rare, but if it's a pile of crap, it'll just get thrown in the bank to bring out and show off, or to brag about. Oh yeah, plus the percents work differently on version 2 than they do on eps1+2 GC, do they not?I'm not certain about the photon in enemy weapons, but i think it's due to the fact that some enemy weapons (DS-Buster/Shield combo) become powered up enough when used in conjunction with each other. I know I sure as hell wouldn't want a... oh say... -50% hit Spread Needle or something. 2. You can add the percentages anyways... even if it IS really expensive in terms of Photon Drops. 3. Hit materials were too potent... if they still existed it would be EXTREMELY easy to max any character's stats. ESPECIALL FOnewearls and HUnewearls since their BIGGEST gap has always been ATA, and if you can max any class's stats... it gets rid of the individuality of everyone's characters... we'd just be a bunch of clones. That's not any fun at all... so Sega removed them entirely... Oh and for the record... Hit Materials don't exist at all in GCN or BB at all Anti. The materials you were thinking about in Challenge Mode and certain quests were TP Materials. 4. I'd rather not spend 2000 hours getting to level 200. The game's too small for that. So no... the V2 EXP WASN'T fair, so they corrected it. Suck it up. Ver.2 to ep1&2......why did they....? - K_I_R_E_E_K - 28-09-2006 the exp isn't fair, now thats new if you beat a boss fast and then receive alot of exp, basicly the only thing that maters on forest or caves or mines or ruins is the boss. yes % work diferently on ver.2, and negative % are stupid, photon efiency, bad or good i will alwasys say. didn't you get it pink, the % can be very bad but can only afect 3 stats so one is good.if you find a rare with good % then congratulations, if the % are bad, then find another one duh |
